Okay, listen up! It's time to dust off your passport, kiss your mum goodbye and soak up all that Miki has to offer. Situated in the much-loved region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (which has some awesome beaches), it promises to be the holiday you deserve!

It's situated 380 kilometres north of Athens, the capital of Greece.

Is there anything more tranquil than collecting seashells next to the water? Go to Aliki Beach or Paradise Beach for a sublime day out.

You won't need to be stuck on the highway all day to see some nature around these parts. Just 13 kilometres out of Miki, Tsal Mountain is an excellent place to fill your lungs with fresh air. More idyllic surrounds are waiting for you at Livaditis Falls, 20 kilometres away.

Passionate about sports? Then you should look up the event schedule at Sports Center Skoda Xanthi, located 11 kilometres to the south in Xanthi.

Spend your escape alternating between the frosty slopes and a roaring fire at Pamporovo Ski Resort and Chepelare Ski Resort. From first timers to old hands, there's something to keep everyone happy at these snow-capped wonderlands.

There's even more to see and do just around the corner. Xanthi, 13 kilometres to the southwest, is popular for Pamegisti Taxiarches Church and Xanthi Town Hall. Alternatively, if the Archaeological Museum of Avdera and the Vourvoukelis Estate sound better to you, head 25 kilometres south from Miki to Avdira.

About 40 kilometres to the northwest, Smolyan is a place with plenty to do. Smolyan Ski Resort, Pamporovo Ski Resort and the Smolyan Art Gallery are all pretty close. That said, Uhlovitsa Cave and Planetarium are also worthy.
