First Trip to Europe. Did not know that the room key also turns on the lights in the room by turning on a master switch. So look for a slot for the key by the door that activates a master switch. Clean and comfortable enough, and close to transportation and the office.
This hotel gets very mixed reviews from me, and I likely will look for another place if I'm in the area in the future.
Pros
The staff representative who checked us in and out (Monday am and Sunday am) was awesome and nice.
Very close to the Milano Politecnico where we had business all week.
Short train ride to the center of town (recommend a 2-day pass) and on the main train line to Malpensa, Como, and stops north and east.
Wifi was not bad; adequate for email and web browsing. Not fast enough to watch movies.
Cons
Extremely noisy, both from the street and the other rooms/hall due to the lack of any carpeting or soundproofing in the hotel. Very hard to sleep because of the noise that goes on all night.
Furniture was student hostel like, with one electric outlet for electronics far across the room from the bed. Beds were low and hard. Had to open windows for air, leading to many bugs and exterior noise.
One of the reception staff was exceptionally bad and rude (Wednesday night, late), making unacceptable assumptions about myself and a colleague who was also staying there.
I had to find a place for a couple of days before renting a dormitory. The room was worth the price. It was clean and really quiet. I am overall content.
The hotel is a nice enough place but in the worst area of Milan. You dare not go out after dark. You must car park or .... Just not a nice place. Room was creepy and the lay out is terrible
Good things is its location. It is close to a train station. A single room 412 is on the first floor near the entrance on 2 story building. It was a bit difficult to move baggage up and down the stairs. Noise from outside could be heard. Air con was quiet cold and noisy. Blanket wardrobe and carpet were not clean. TV show are all in italian. A bottle of water costs 1.5 euro. Bathroom is big but the shower area is so small. Shower gel, soap and shampoo were provided. Towels were changes every day. Ironing in a room is not allowed and to be paid varied by clothes. Staffs could be more helpful. There are supermarkets, not far from the hotel. Breakfast was average. No free internet/wifi were provided.

hotel close to train station
free wi-fi, nice breakfast, close to train station, nice staff. however white curtain is not enough to block sunshine in the morning, can't eat in room.
Very poor quality hotel. No WIFI, only wired internet which has the speed of dial up. Very old fashioned Hotel in general and in need of some refubishment. Only positive was the location in relation to the Train station to Central Milan but walking there @ night not recommended as area is very poor. Staff were not friendly and area around hotel very poor.

Nice, budget, convenient hotel to MXP
The breakfast is good. The staff work there is nice and patient. The first day when I arrived there, the hotel staff asked me to pay city tax in cash for all my stays. I paid it, but I did not get a receipt. I was told I would get it the day before I check out. I insisted if I give you money, you have to give me something to prove I paid. The gentleman wrote a note using hotel letterhead paper indicated my payment, said this is special for me. I did get the receipt the day before I checked out the hotel. I did feel special since there might be no other people asked for this. Their system seems different from American hotels. I feel home whenever I arrived hotel after a long working day every day in Milan. Thank you.
Nice staff work there. Very helpful. I emailed them several times for my concerns and questions. They emailed back. They printed my train tickets for my day trips. The breakfast quality is good. They have fresh fruit and different kind of cookies, fresh boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee, cakes, warm milk and a lot more others food, can prepare me well to start my day. One stop to convention center MiCo. Very convenient to airport. A little bit hard to find out their location first time. Remember to turn left when you walk out the train station, then turn right to a square, then turn right. The hotel is on the left side and right in front of you. It's very close to train station. The stop's name is Bovisa in airport express time table, but it announced as Bovisa Polytechnic (something like that). Only one old guy works in evening shift seems not as patient as other staff. One night after 11pm, I heard loud sounds like firework. It was quite odds to have firework after 11pm and little bit worried. I called front desk to check out what was going on, the old staff answered "how do I know". Not sounds polite.
