Comfortable, modern B&B style place in a residential building close to the central train station. We enjoyed the area a lot - not touristy despite its proximity to the station, lots of good restaurants and cafes, walkable to the main attractions of Milan. We stumbled across a small, fabulous restaurant which was otherwise full of locals and lucked into a table without a reservation.
The manager of this hotel, Flavia, was really nice and helpful. We weren't sure what to expect with the self check-in options and codes and such, but it was all fine, and if you arrive during relatively normal hours someone will be there to greet you and help out with anything. Breakfast is the standard Italian B&B type if you've had it before - nothing special but fine.
Something was going on with hotel rates in Milan the weekend we stayed, and prices were kind of crazy - certainly more than this pleasant but not 5 star hotel should cost. I randomly looked at some other weekends in the fall on Expedia, and the price was about half what we paid. Hope that's more typical! Anyway we'd love to spend more time in Milan again and would certainly stay here again.
