If you want peace & quiet and a private beach, the Cirucco Village is great. The location is lovely, but quite far from the nearest town, certainly not walking distance. It's about a 10 minute bus journey from the town of Milazzo. Ideal if you have your own transport / hire car. We didn't and relied on the local bus which is a limited service. The first bus is at 08:05, the last at 19:05, (you can pick up a timetable from the resort's reception). Unfortunately, the restaurants don't serve dinner until about 8 pm so that means having to get a taxi back up to the resort. We had a fridge in our room at the resort, so we visited the supermarkets in town to stock up. The one restaurant in the Cirucco resort has great food but it is quite pricey compared to the ones in town.
It's about a 15 minute uphill trek to catch the bus, just make sure you leave enough time. There's no bus stop, you have to hail him as he approaches. Tickets cost 1 euro 10 cents and can be bought opposite the bus stop at the port in Milazzo.
Make sure you check the times of the trains or buses before travelling, as it can take almost 3 hours to get there from the airport and public transport tends to finish early in remote parts. Taxi's are not cheap.
There is a coach service that runs from Catania Airport to Milazzo and this takes 2 hours and is much cheaper at about 12 euros.
Breakfast at the resort is basic but nice. The staff are helpful but you'll need an English Italian phrase book.
