We had a great stay at the AmericInn in Apple Valley. We had the queen and king suite, which was perfect for our family. It is a standard, small hotel with the basic necessities, and we enjoyed our visit.

Seemed ok from the outside. It is clear housekeeping isn’t very thorough. There was a plastic bottle left under the table in the bedroom that wasn’t ours and we killed a bug in the bathroom.

We were staying for two nights. When we checked in , we realized we only needed one night and tried to cancel. We were a couple hours beyond the cancelation time frame. We were told they would check with management to see if they would work with us. Unfortunately, management would not be due to being too close to the 24-hour cancelation time. The room "could have been rented out", yet friends of ours were still able to book a room at the hotel the day before. So, this was a lie to justify not issuing a refund for a night we did not stay at the hotel as we checked out the next morning. Also, breakfast was not well stocked. Items ran out with very little staff to refill them.

The jalopy of an air condition, which was broken and shed loads of light, made a huge semi-broken racket all night.

The property is tucked away and not too accessible from the road, but it is possible to find. I enjoyed my room and the breakfast. I was very cold the first night, so I asked for an extra blanket. I finally turned the machine off and slept much better the next three nights. I was satisfied with this hotel

Don’t be afraid to book this place.
The staff were excellent and pleasant to work with. The facility appeared to be in the process of updating and the breakfast was barebones. The room was clean and comfortable once we were able to work out, with the help of the staff, how to work the TV remote.

The hotel staff was nice, room was clean and good size. The free breakfast was good. Pool and hot tub were nice. Only thing is pool area was dark. Lights spread out pretty far apart.
