It's located 120 kilometres to the west of the capital of Greece, Athens.

Make sure you bring a picnic chair for a leisurely bite by the water at Alykes Beach or Chalikiada Beach.

Break free on a trip to some surrounding natural attractions. 35 kilometres out of Mosia, Vouraikos Gorge is waiting to be explored. Tsivlou Lake, 25 kilometres away, is another a popular place to unwind in the outdoors.

Spend your time moving between the ice-cold slopes and a seat beside the fireplace at Parnassos Ski Centre and Kalavrita Ski Resort. From rookies to veterans, there's something to delight everyone at these snowy wonderlands.

You'll find even more just around the corner. Sikyona, 12 kilometres to the east, is popular for the Environment Museum of Stymphalia and Lake Stymphalia. Though, if Fonissas Gorge and the Port of Xylokastro sound better to you, travel 25 kilometres northeast from Mosia to Xylokastro-Evrostina.

Nemea, 30 kilometres to the east, may be right up your alley. Use it as a base when swinging by the Archaeological Museum of Nemea, the Ancient Nemea and the Ktima Palivou. If you need more convincing, other close by sights include the Lafkioti and the Domaine Helios.

To really experience a place is to try its food and drink, so prepare to chomp, chew, slurp and sip your way across Corinth. The only thing you need to take with you is a decent appetite!

Typical fare here often includes chicken and pork, two regularly used ingredients for which the region is known for plating up.
