Already reviewed this but since Wotif keeps bugging to do again I'll reiterate, it was a great comfortable place to stay. Sure the floors and other areas could do with a good deep clean then maybe a coat of paint on the walls, but hey they'd then be able to charge more so was glad they didn't as otherwise with no backpacker hostels in Nashville I wouldn't have had anywhere this good to stay. Also on the airport to central bus route.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Cleanliness
Drake Motel granted isn't looking the best these days, and is the type of place where the soles of your feet turn black walking on the room floor, the walls could use a paint, and well the room isn't very clean. But I liked it there. And if they renovated or cleaned up there wouldn't be as many vacancies or as cheap prices.
You've got a country radio station playing 24hrs just through the entrance. It's a couple of minutes walk to many local bus stops including the route from the airport. The massive bed was really comfortable, it had a fridge, and Wi-fi wasn't bad.
the room smelled like stale cigarettes and mildew. we walked in and there was a cigarette butt on the floor by the bed. checked the bed for bugs and didn’t see any signs but the mattress was stained and there was reddish brown (hopefully not blood) stains on the bedframe itself. there was a picture frame on the wall that the glass was cracked. there was a questionable liquid stain on the window curtain (if ya catch my drift). splatters of only god knows what all over the walls. hair all inside the shower on the walls. none of the mirrors had been wiped down or cleaned. there were 2 washcloths and 2 towels (floor mat size, not full body or big enough to even wrap around a body) so my boyfriend asked if we could have a couple more to use for our hair, body and to keep one on the floor outside the shower as a mat and we were told no we could only use what was in there so we ended up going to Walmart to buy some towel to use. there were cigarette burns in the sheets and the pillows smelled awful. seemed like a cute place online which is why i booked it (and being the most affordable for the weekend which is crazy because it was still $230 for 2 nights) but was quickly turned off once we opened the door to the room. came in town for the Vikings game and thank god we were only sleeping there. i’d definitely book elsewhere unless you are absolutely desperate for a place and have no other options. i don’t think any of my pics need a description as they speak for themselves…
I will start with the short list of pros. It was cheap and close to Broadway. That’s it. The cons are the rooms are in dire need of many many repairs. Bed was stiff, sheets were itchy and questionable cleanliness. Pillows were pancakes, bath towels were literally thread bare. I’m almost positive our floor hadn’t been mopped in at least 6 months or more. Underneath the bed had dead roaches, used prophylactics wrappers, among food wrappers. Our sink was literally hanging off the bathroom wall. Gaps around the door, smelled of decades old smoke and mildew. We stayed in a king size room 132 to be exact. My mom stayed in a double room with my grandma and we both had similar experiences. We only stayed 1 night. Will not be back unless it’s HEAVILY REMODELED and repaired. To be honest the hotel is condemnable condition in my opinion. If you want cheap….you’re definitely gonna get it here. But you certainly won’t get clean or comfortable.
Sheets and bed were clean and comfortable although old. Room had been used in a video years ago so history there. Only 1 hot tub room and we pd extra for it for hot tub to be dirty and unusable. Feel some discount should have been offered especially when asking for a good review. Out of date yet cheap and friendly... Close to Broadway area (honky tonk area)
The staff was friendly and polite. That's the only positive. The rooms smell like decades of smoking. There's holes in the walls, the bedding and pillows were dirty. The floor was like walking on grease and dirt. The neighborhood was sketchy but the locals were friendly. While we were there it was super loud so no one could sleep and in the morning someone was being rolled out on a stretcher likely due to a drug overdose.
Horrible experience. If a representative wants to reach out to me, great. Worst stay I have ever experienced.
I have many pictures to provide for my accusations of why this was horrible.
