Old and worn down. Yes they are renovating, but they are going to need to rebuild the whole place. But, it is right in front of Junkanoo beach so you cannot beat the location and it was the cheapest option so you cannot really complain too much. The service was slow, I mean really, really slow. Nice and happy people, but slow. Island time!

This is an old hotel, check in time took more than an hour. The street between the hotel and beach is super busy and the trafic is loud.

While this property is centrally located, the building is completely outdated. It’s definitely in need of renovations. The service is pathetic and extremely poor. We arrived earlier than anticipated and our check in time was 4pm. We did not get the room until 4;45pm and it wasn’t even the room we had book. They said that the beach front room which we booked was still waiting to be cleaned and since they did not want us to wait any longer they gave us another room. I was very disappointed because we did not get what we wanted. The hotel has only 1 restaurant in the building and only 1 chief making the food. Be prepared to wait hours before getting your meal. Many customers were extremely disappointed and upset about this situation. I ended up cancelling my order after waiting for an hour when I was told that my food still isn’t ready. Then I overheard an elderly couple asking the same question and they were treated very rudely with a response of “I assure you your food will be ready before tomorrow morning”. I would not recommend staying here. There are many nicer hotels around the area to look into.

Good place to stay
This is place is at a great location. Right across from beach and walkable to downtown. We had a good stay, the room was quite spacious with a partial view to the beach and swimming pool. The beds are little old and need a changing, they kept creaking with every toss/ turn. But I liked the place overall.

We stayed here for 3 days during the New Year. The hotel had some construction equipment on the property, but we didn't see or hear work being done, probably because of the holiday. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. We ate the breakfast once and enjoyed it. We liked the location: right across from Junkanoo beach and within 10 mins walk to the Fish Fry and downtown. Our only complaint was the room doors were constantly slamming, could be because of the age of the hotel? Our room door didn't have the security lock on the inside.
