BEWARE! The property is not as advertised. It does not have a bar, nor does it have a coffee shop; however, these are advertised within the elevators. There are no vending machines or a convenience store within the hotel. We had to ask for water and the request resulted in an attitude from the person at the front desk. Additionally, upon checkout, I was charged $40 a day service fee after paying for my stay on Expedia. I was asked for my credit card when checking in for incidentals. I was not informed until check out that there would be the service fees. I’m still confused about what service was provided, especially since there was nothing available for us. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in at this price point.

We have stayed at Crowne Plaza for the last 22 years. Their cafe was closed, restaurant and bar closed, no room service, electric outlets in bathroom did not work, had to keep asking for towels, etc. We had to check out today at 11:00 and didn't fly out till 7:00. They informed us then they would not od our luggage and we could taje it 3 blocks to store it plus a $30 fee. Had to take it down 2 flights of steps. I feel we should be reimbursed for thos expense since it's usually not a fee and compensate d somehow for not having the ammenities they advertised. Very disappointed.

Wasn’t told during reservation or even check-in that hotel was undergoing renovations. All guests were in lobby in the morning, big crowd trying to check out/get their vehicles because they were shutting down. Website didn’t mention a word either. Lounge and coffee shop were completely closed and even though we set the thermostat at 68, the room temp was 88 the whole night. Shower/faucet control was falling apart.

Worst hotel stay
This hotel was closing for renovations our last day, nothing was open. No coffee, no bar, no amenities. The HVAC did not work and our room was freezing. The hot water in the shower was inconsistent. They did. It supply rooms properly with toiletries, etc.

I don't even know where to begin. I feel like I got scammed out of $1300. I booked a room for 1 night on NYE (The Times Square View Room) but all I had was a view of the people who actually had THE view. The room is very small and outdated (did not have a fridge or microwave) the carpet was dirty, dresser drawers were crooked. The front entrance is blocked off at 3pm and then only becomes accessible to those who paid an additional $400/pp to watch the ball drop. Had to use the back exit all night which ends up on a side street with no view or access to the main street. Could not venture out and explore the area due to police barricades and a lot of nearby dining options were also closed. I asked to speak to the manager who was no help, he put me on hold and just never returned on the line. If I could give this place a 0 I definitely would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS PLACE!!!!!

A bed to sleep in and not much more
The bed was comfortable, but there were so many items that we were missing in our room. We eventually got them, but because the phone didn't work, we had to go down to the lobby every time that we needed something. Even the house cleaning cart didn't have the toilet paper we needed. The other issue was that there was no food on premise other than the first night. After that, the lounge had all the tables removed and there wasn't anywhere in the building serving food.

Great location and nice hotel. Room was very tired and needed a refurb. One of the drawers was missing and the Housekeeping had to be rung twice as they forgot to leave coffee/cups etc a couple of days. Reception staff were welcoming and nice. Loved the location but would stay somewhere else next time a little more updated.

We were disappointed with the property because the coffee shop and the restaurant were closed the entire time we were there and we were told upon checkout that our bags couldn’t be held because the hotel was closing. We were told at checkin it wouldn’t be any problem to hold our bags at checkout. It would have been nice to be informed of this when we arrived so that we could have made prior plans. It was very poor communication to not be told this important information. I will not be recommending the Crowne Plaza to anyone!

I wasn't aware the Hotel would be closing for renovations the weekend we were there? Because of that we hit a little speed bump with the parking which was inconvenient especially with the cold weather in early January. Other than that the staff were pleasant especially Evelyn at the front desk. We will come back in August and hopefully all the renovations will be complete?

The property was fine and honestly NOTHING the mgmt can do about the below comment we just chose a bad location Although we were in the middle of it all the street salesman are ANNOYING and steps away from hotel entrance. The hotel is clean the front desk staff and valets extremely helpful and hospitable. Would I stay here again YES if wasn’t located in Times Square

Hot water took 20 minutes to warm up and then there was very little water pressure. Made it very difficult to shower. We ran out of toilet paper and had to call downstairs. We were only left two bath towels in our room and when we asked for more they told us there was no more and their delivery didn’t come. We had 4 people in our room. Bathroom wall has moldy peeling wallpaper. Disappointed in this place.
