Very NYC-esque. Chic and dark.
Our room had no heat. No glasses. No coffeemaker. The sent someone with a blanket and 4 paper cups. The vibe was chic and NYC-esque (dark and small) it was artistically decorated.

Nice design & location, but request a high floor
We stayed at the Feeehand for one night while in the city for a show. We were pleased when the hotel was able to check us in as soon as we arrived at 9am. Unfortunately, the room they gave us was on the third floor. We didn't realize this was an issue until that night when the room was vibrating and we could hear the thumping music and bass from the bar/club below. The music lasted until after 3am, which made for a very unrestful night. Overall the hotel design is nice and location is good. If you stay, I'd insist on a room on a higher floor to avoid the misfortune we had. Was definitely not worth the price for a sleepless night.

Normally I’d recommend this hotel but not anymore. I use this hotel for work and in the past enjoyed it but this time the front desk staff was unpleasant and the room was poorly cared for. My shower wouldn’t drain, tv wouldn’t connect to the internet for streaming, room wasn’t clean, front desk staff was dressed inappropriately and actually hung up on us when we called to ask a question. When we went down to ask they wouldn’t even speak to my partner. Sadly don’t plan on using the freehand again

TV and WiFi didn’t work properly for entirety of trip. Severe mold discovered in first room, and we were itchy the entire trip from how dirty it was. Omar one of the managers comped us a night off but the previous manager we spoke to only offered an amenity fee of $100 off so we had to circle back to get this. The first refund the first manager promised didn’t come through fully to the amount he promised and it amounted to $73 dollar refund.

My room had no ac not a big deal for most but i have a medical condition where i have seizures. Heat makes things worse and can trigger a seizure with my room being 87°F it did just that i had 2 seizures. I had repeatedly asked for it to be fixed or to be given another room and nothing happened. I will never stay at this hotel again and will be reporting all NYC code violations to the proper authorities and consult my attorneys in this matter. This hotel put my life in jeopardy

Nice historic, arty hotel in Gramercy/Mad Sq. area. 2nd time staying here & while a little loud sometimes (mezzanine club & rooftop bar)- its a great location & fun setting. Murals in all rooms, great beds, custom lighting/furniture & bathrooms. Little issue w/ water temp-pressure one AM & 1 of 3 elevators was down a bit leading to lobby queues, but great staff & will def. Stay there again.
