Great location for hotel. Staff made this hotel from early check in, to water, and helping out with tips in the area. Location close to public transit, Times Square. Rooms were tiny as expected in NYC but great stay!

The hotel was conveniently located in Manhattan. The staff were friendly and the service was good. However, the facilities seemed a bit old; the desk in my room collapsed and needed repairs, and the bathroom sink was leaking and also required fixing. Fortunately, the service was prompt, so there were no major inconveniences. The breakfast was especially good, and the gentleman working in the restaurant was so kind that I really enjoyed my meals.

This was far from the cheapest hotel we could have picked in Manhattan, but it feels like it should have been. The rooms were absolutely tiny with no storage space for cases or clothes for 4 people. There were only 2 lifts for 32 floors which is frankly ridiculous, there was often a 30 minute wait to get in a lift. The breakfast room was far too small for the size of hotel and consequently it was permanently packed full of people and no possibility to sit and eat. The food quality was also poor compared to other Hampton properties we’ve stayed in. The staff were friendly enough, but honestly I couldn’t get past how poor everything else was.

Came back hrs later and room was still hot AC not working and no news about any attempt to repair. Night attendant helped me get a new room that was very nice with a working AC.

The first room 1505 had BLACK mold in the shower, Mildew and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and sleeping area, Outlets were loose and pushed back into the wall and were too loose to hold your cord. Could only charge phones in one outlet. Unsafe elec. Moved to 1805 and not much better. Table between beds was falling off the wall, sink, toilet and shower were all slow to drain/flush and the last day the toilet did not flush. Food was poor.

Trying to go up or come down from your room was terrible. None of the ice machines work other than the one on floor C. All of the signs by the machines say Ice and water. They should at least say not working. Also the front desk should tell you where you can get ice and water. We found out by another guest that has been on all floors looking for a machine that worked. We were disappointed because the standards were not up to the standards we've come to expect from Hampton Inn. Would not recommend!
