Everything about the Lombardy itself was joyful. The only possible negative was construction down the block on 56th, but that is certainly not within their control and was in no way more than a minor detraction from an otherwise splendid experience.

There is a doorman at the front door but couldn’t figure out what his function was other than to watch you struggle with your suitcase going down the stairs. Front desk staff was efficient in checking you in and out. Place is kept clean.

My family of 4 just stayed here in a 1 bedroom suite. It was lovely. The room was huge compared to other rooms we’ve stayed at in NY for the same price - long foyer, small kitchenette, large living room with ample seating, small table and chairs, desk, etc. The bedroom was also large with 2 queen sized beds and plenty of dresser space. 2 large TVs in the suite. Bathroom was small but clean and had good lighting. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. We’d stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at the Lombardy. Our room was enormous for NYC. The staff could not have been friendlier. Great location. Will definitely stay again.

Pros: Room was large and had a kitchenette which was great. Location is convenient, on a quiet street and also close to several metro stations. Cons: The bed wasn’t comfortable and the AC ran nonstop even though we were trying to use the heat.

The room was spacious with high ceilings and generally well-appointed, including a small kitchen. It was, however, barren of even as much as a tea bag or coffee pouch. And though I'm not a fan of a lot of the art in hotels, the Lombardy is singularly lacking in any art, contributing to a joyless atmosphere in what otherwise might be a great hotel.
