Our stay at the Riu was fairly perfect. The food is excellent, even the buffet. If I could nit pick a bit, the elevators were wild. Unpredictable and unreliable. Also, you cannot make reservations but you have to line up at 5:30 to get a table at the a la carte, for the first or second seating. Entertainment was average at the resort but there are lots of bars/restaurants that are walkable.

We loved our stay here. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. While things werent perfect (and they never are) there was nothing that would deter us from staying here again; infact we are discussing WHEN we would be coming back. We were very pleased overall. Food was great, amenities great. We never felt unsafe.

Nice dining options, very friendly staff, very clean room. 24 hr cafe was fair at best. Went to get something to eat around 1:00am and everything was cold. Hot dogs were barely warm and the cheese and chili toppings were cold. I had a mishap at the pool bathroom which resulted in a dislocated shoulder. Had to spend time at the ER to get it put back into place.

The property was clean and well kept. However the staff was rude and the food was not good. The beach is nice but not enough chairs and palapas for everybody. They allow people to “claim” palapas very early in the morning by leaving towels on the chairs then they go about their day and come back whenever they want. The drinks are very small and very weak. I’d come back to the island but stay somewhere else.

The staff at Riu was excellent. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Housekeeping was quick and attentive. The property was clean — there were always people mopping, wiping surfaces, cleaning up inside and outside. One thing that could improve were property conditions of the room we stayed in, outside of general cleanliness. A fresh coat of paint, deep cleaning of grout in the bathroom etc. would bring this property to five stars. The food was tasty and the resort is near many attractions, restaurants, and shops. I would definitely consider Riu if coming back to Aruba and looking for an all-inclusive.
