The new owner, Elizabeth, was very helpful, friendly and approachable. She bought the motel at the end of 2024 and is slowly improving it. The business and buildings had been a little tired when I visited 12 months previously, but already are noticeably better. The reception area is now a brighter, larger and more welcoming area to greet first arrival; though there are some facilities that still need maintenance such as the guest washing machine that I noticed was out of order, but not important for me. The new new owner has valid logical ideas for improving the business further, so the motel may be worth your consideration when visiting Nuriootpa and the Barossa valley.

We were sad to leave this motel! It’s such a nice little place! Old Australiana. We loved it. The man at reception allowed us to check in an hour early so we could get ready for a wedding and check out an hour late the next morning. Thank you! He said he’d do anything to accommodate us. We’ll be back next time we’re there! Very clean, super hot water, great shower pressure, enough room for our two suitcases and carry ons. Easy parking right in front of our room. It was great!

This property is dated and in need of some refreshing, however having said that it was clean, the beds were comfortable and there was no road noise. Good for a couple of nights while in the Barossa Valley.

Our room was adequate, but could do with updating. It appears someone has maybe started updating a little, but it just seemed tired. A big plus was that it was nice and quiet. It would have been nice if the strings of light around the trees lit up, but that was no big deal. It was nice to have seating outside and enjoy the fresh air. Overall, a relaxing weekend.
