I am not one to leave reviews, but I feel as though I need to share my experience at this hotel. Our stay at Flagship ruined our entire family vacation and I want to prevent this happening to anybody else. I am currently 4 months pregnant and I booked this hotel for my family- my fiancé, our 7 year old son, his grandmother, and I. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy, as we had plans to be out and about most of the time, but I was not expecting to be this disappointed. I booked in advance for monday - thursday and paid $820 for our room, but I told myself it was just because it was a boardwalk hotel with 2 pools and a bar. the photos did not look THAT bad, but the moment we walked into the front doors I knew I let my family down and made the wrong choice because it was horrendous. the lobby absolutely reeked, felt humid and musky, the windows were caked with grime, I noticed several flies, and the environment was not inviting at all. upon entering our room we were mortified. the room smelled, there were flies, the carpet felt moist and disgusting, our lamp shade was broken, we had a hand print on our mirror, beds did not smell clean, the pillows were extremely flat, and our balcony door would not lock. I contacted expedia as we did not feel comfortable and safe and just wanted to switch hotels. the hotel manager Danielle refused to give us a refund and we were forced to stay. my fiancé ended up sleeping in his Jeep because he was extremely grossed out and uncomfortable.
