Ask for Akmed at the front desk. He was very friendly, and helpful. The hotel is right next door to Oslo’s Sentral Train Station. And, it’s very walkable to the Opera, and Munch Museum. It’s a pricy hotel, but with a very wonderful location, and is very clean, and modern. And, remember, on price, you’re in downtown Oslo!

Thon hotel opera is in walking distance from most tourist attractions or you can catch an uber if you don’t want to walk. This hotel did not disappoint. Heated floors in the bathroom, bathtubs, toiletries,and a minibar are all available depending on the floor plan you get. The breakfast was wonderful, so many options to choose from and very clean establishment. I have no complaints other than Oslo was very pricey.

Would absolutely stay again!
Fast check in and an offer to have a tub or shower as there was one tub left. Given tons of info about operations and was offered a work around for breakfast as I had to leave way earlier than breakfast started. Service in the lounge was fantastic the evening of Oct 26, not as great the evening of the 27th. Still fine, but not as good. The hotel is stunning!

Tons of shopping, food and drink options all within a 10 minute walk. Bus, metro, train and cab options always available to use as a jumping point. Staff and amenities were outstanding from every aspect. Favorite part was the breakfast included with the room.

We had an excellent stay at Thon Hotel Opera. So convenient for Central station, the hotel was clean, very comfortable and every single member of staff we talked to was super helpful. Good facilities in the room which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

First the location is ideal, you have almost everything within walking distance. The Opera House, Munch Museum, transportation to other tourist attractions, restaurants, almost waterfront, etc. Hotel staff was excellent,friendly and helpful.The Hotel is in very good condition, clean and modern.

We arrived in Oslo very tired form an overnight flight. Our hotel was just across the street from the train station from the airport. The location was ideal with many options for dining. The breakfast included was beyond wonderful! Every international favorite was available! I would definitely stay there again!

This property is very convenient next door to central station, breakfast was wonderful the best array of gluten free and lactose free I have had in my whole 4 months of travelling. Room was comfortable but I had shower over bath, very hard to get into as bath so deep also slippery on bottom.

Good location right across the Opera and adjacent to the Central Station. The hotel is starting to show it's age. We were given a room on building 2 which needs to be remodel/updated. The carpet needs to be replaced. They do not offer in room amenities aside of body wash. The room had a good view! The breakfast was plentiful with many many options. A bit overpriced for what it offers but overall it was a good stay.

Great Value
Hotel overall very good. Staff helpful but not intrusive. Room cleaning service and assistance was particularly excellent. Location was important to us, and it allowed us to explore and enjoy quickly upon arrival, and located next to transport both incoming, and connection to Bergen by train.

Highly recommend .
Extremely happy with this hotel. Our room was very spacious and had a balcony. Bed very comfy. Breakfast was included and had a huge variety to choose from. Right next to Central station but our room was very quiet . Very good location walkable to lots of cafes and attractions. Would highly recommend staying here.
