With only 1 hotel within 10 kilometres of central Outes, you'll need to move faster than an 80-year-old at a buffet if you want to stay close by!

As close to the city centre as you can get, Casa Perfeuto María is a great place to catch some Zs after a full-on day of seeing the sights.

If you're still after somewhere to stay and finding it tricky, you could try the Castelao or the Hotel Pazo O Rial. The first is 30 kilometres away, while the second is 30 kilometres away. If these aren't right for you, we'd recommend you have a look at the Rusticae Casa Antiga do Monte, which is 25 kilometres from the downtown area.

Everyone knows Aussies are pretty relaxed, so consider kicking back a little longer and going to the Ezaro Beach and Cape Finisterre in Corcubion, 25 kilometres to the west of Outes. The Hotel Oca Insua and Apartamentos VIDA Corcubión are just some of the great hotel and apartment options here. 25 kilometres to the east of Outes you'll also find Padron, which is home to the Casa Grande da Capellanía and Hotel Scala. Rosalia de Castro House Museum and the Camilo Jose Cela Foundation are popular places to see for those visiting Padron.

Get a ride 30 kilometres east and you'll find Santiago de Compostela, a regional centre with a population of 95,000. While you're checking out this neck of the woods, you'll be able to work on your tourist game at the Congress and Exposition Center of Galicia, the Library and Archive of Galicia and Area Central Shopping Center. Santo Domingo de Bonaval Park and Colexiata de Santa Maria do Sar are a couple more attractions which are sure to offer up some photo ops. There are some great options of available hotels in Santiago de Compostela, with the Parador de Santiago - Hostal dos Reis Católicos and Hotel Spa Relais & Chateaux A Quinta da Auga coming in at the top of the list.

On the plane? Going to pieces cos you haven't got accommodation at the other end? Keep calm! Odds are you'll be able to crash at the Ruta Jacobea. It's pretty close to Lavacolla Airport, which is 40 kilometres from Outes' centre.
