On arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcome. Check in was quick and stressfree. The lobby area is small but bright and clean.
We ended up with a room on the 2nd floor, the lift is super tiny but very cute. Enough room for two with small luggage, or you can walk up/down the spiral staircase.
Entering the room we were originally shocked at the size. Very tiny. A double bed, two side cabinets, a table with one chair and a tv on the wall. The windows opened up to the street which wasn’t too busy or noisy (we slept with the window open without any problem)
The shower room/toilet is in need of updating and repair.. the tiles are falling off and there was some small mould patches in a couple of corners.
The staff all speak English and were friendly and helpful every day morning or night. Refreshments in the lobby aren’t expensive, can of beer for 1€50 and they gave us free filtered coffee in the mornings.
The Area of Nation is lively and pretty. Lots of happy hours in all the bars with friendly staff. Nation station has both RER and metro lines and very very easy to get into Paris.
Overall I would recommend this hotel and will definitely look at staying again. And no bed bugs!
