Great location for the railway stations

This was our second stay at the hotel. We were transferring between the nearby railway stations and spending an extra night to see some of Paris. The location was great for that, even though the area around the stations isn't that nice. We got a room on the top floor which was nice. Unfortunately there was a very strong smell of damp in the room which wouldn't go away with even with ventilating the room. There was also a lot of marks on the carpet. Perhaps related to the damp smell. They weren't able to move us that night but did move us the next morning. The next room was very nice and had no odour. We had some issues with one of the lifts. The door wouldn't always open if we were in the lift on the ground floor. We had to go back up to the first floor to get out. Not ideal.

Great hotel or access to the railway stations

We stayed here for one night as we were arriving at the nearby Gare Du Nord and catching a train the next day from Gare de l'Est. It was great for this. We didn't have far to walk and the hotel looks right on to Gare de l'Est. The room was quite small and there was some noise at night from the street. I think this has to be expected in such a central location and wasn't a problem. The room had everything we needed and I slept well.

We stayed in the hotel while going to a concert at the stade de france. The hotel is ideal for this purpose, it is within a 10min walk to the gare de nord, which is the station that the train from the (CDG) airport arrives (RER B) and also goes to the stadium (TER B or D). There are numerous restaurants & fast food places (mcd's, kfc & bk) very close, theres also a mini market in close proximity as well & a metro station. The hotel itself was clean, secure & adequate without any frills (although our room was quite small). The noise from the traffic outside wasnt bad, but we were on the 6th floor. You could feel the vibrations of the subway trains passing underground but it wasnt bad enough to be a nuisance imo. The surrounding area isnt as nice as some of the other areas in the city, but you get what you pay for as the saying goes. I would have no problem going back again for the same purpose, but if i was going to specifically see the city, enjoy the hotel facilies etc. I would prob find another hotel.

Lovely hotel but very noisy all night

The room was extremely hot when I got to there. There’s a heatwave and I believe the aircon should have been on before I got there. Besides the safe was not working. Impossible to leave my valuables in the room. The receptionist told me nothing could be done as there was no technician onsite. Yet we were on a Monday. This said this should have been checked when the room was prepared.

Located close to train station and metro with loads of places to eat. Rooms were very small so beware if you plan on bringing lots of baggage. Some rooms are facing Main Street and it was very noisy even into the early morning hours. Not the hotel's fault at all. Better to request a room away from the Main Street.

Look for a better place.

The pictures were deceiving. The room was so much smaller than what it showed on the website when we got there the room was very hot. We turned the air conditioner on, and no air was coming out and looking closer. In to the ducts they were all dirty and had lots of cobwebs and dust we took pictures went down and spoke to the person at the counter. They told us that they were the night person and they had no saying that we have to wait till the morning to speak to a Manager. Also, the air conditioner will not stay on the whole time only 43 hours at a time even if you’re in the room it automatically turns off and you have to turn it right back on that was annoying at night when we were trying to sleep and all of a sudden woken up because it was so hot. The next day, I did speak to the manager and she told me there was nothing she can do, but that’s the way they kept the rooms when I told her I was gonna give her a bad review an hour later she miraculously found another room for us and a fully booked hotel. It was a little bit bigger, but still the same problems with the AC. The other problem we had was when we would go out at night when you came back in after midnight there was nobody at the front desk and had to ring the doorbell, but nobody answered. We would have to knock, knock, knock finally somebody came from the back and open the door.

The property was well maintained with touches of luxury that made our trip feel more special. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout. The bedroom was compact, but we were delighted with the balcony which had a Parisian feel, and the view of Gare de l'Est and the street were fascinating to watch. We had read reviews that there was noise from the street, as would be expected in such a central area, but the double balcony doors blocked the noise well, we could only really hear sirens. The opaque wall and sliding door to the ensuite could be awkward if you are travelling as friends, but for me and my daughter it was fine, causing us a giggle when we arrived but it does actually give sufficient privacy.
