Great staff
Very helpful staff who communicated well in advance and were very welcoming. Great position for Eurostar as a couple of minutes walk from Gare du Nord.

The location is great and close to the train station but the rooms are dirty, only one outlet for charger, and no fans or air conditioning so it’s very hot during summer

The property is in convenient location. Nice room though smelled like mouldy not sure the other room though but our room smell like mold. If you’re on a budget and just need a place to stay then it is good.

The staff were very helpful the property is in need of a make over the fan was broken the lift was very dodgy there was no tea/ coffee there was one broken plug socket in the room so if you got it to work you could only have one thing going at a time the carpets in the hallway was filthy and there is no parking at the hotel so you have to park around the corner you get a discount if you are staying at the hotel but it is still very expensive

My second stay here.
Exceptional value for money and location. The hotel interiors are well kept but 90s design which gives a retro vibe to the place. The people manning the reception are quite considerate.

Staff very friendly, very easy walk to the 4 Metros we needed while staying in Paris. Can get a buffet continental breakfast on site for 8€ which was adequate for our needs. No air con which wasn’t too bad was 21 at night and still bearable. Shower jel and soap provided. For the cost maybe one of the best value hotels I’ve stayed in

Great stay, great location, great value!
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Metropol and recommend the hotel - I was a solo traveller in Paris for the Olympics. Room was clean, the receptionist was friendly and helpful, great location next to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, near Sacré Coeur! It was hot when I was there and no air-conditioning, but perfectly fine as you can just leave the windows wide open to let air in. Corridors need to be updated but other than that, perfectly good 2 night stay and recommend for those on a budget

What I liked: The view from our room was very pretty, Paris streets. It’s very close to the Gare du Nord, very convenient for transportation. There is a very good cafe called Bayat just beside, very recommend! What I disliked: the sink and the shower were blocked, the water barely passed so it was almost always full. At night we couldn’t sleep because the workers wouldn’t stop talking VERY LOUDLY all night and we didn’t close the windows because there is no air conditioning or ventilators in the room ( we were in the 5th floor). We found only one outlet to charge our electronics, very inconvenient.

If you’re in a pickle
If you find yourself in need of a room for a night, like I did, this fits the bill. Friendly and helpful staff, and clean room. I wish I would have noticed there was no AC, my bad, but large windows offered a nice breeze. I would stay here again if needed.
