In my 62 years of existence, I have never encountered such a negative experience from a hotel as I did at the Hotel Résidence Quintinie Square hotel in Paris. On my third day, the manager scolded and yelled at me for not cleaning up my room before the maids came. It seems there were two pieces of paper under my bed, and I had filled up the 10 inch trash can in 3 days. The manager told me that leaving my room in such a condition was UNACCEPTABLE, and I needed to do a better job keeping my room clean. She said they would check my room every two days to verify I was keeping my room clean. What exactly are the maids for if they complain that the GUEST inadvertently left a scrap of paper on the floor? I am a very neat person. I did not make a mess. Yet the manager complained that I filled up the trash?? That I had to do a better job? What am I paying for? I have yet to get a shampoo bottle from them. The ONLY thing the maids do is make the bed. I have hung up my used towels to save water. I wash whatever dishes I use. BUT, that is not good enough. They advertise digital TV, yet I only get 8 French channels. They provide a coffee pot, but no coffee. Since this incidence of me “leaving a mess”, they barely acknowledge me when I enter the lobby. My room is getting inspected every two days, and I get stressed out by having to make sure my room is immaculate before I go out. These people are INSANE!! I am in Paris because my mother is dying. The only time I leave the hotel is to see
