As a mother traveling with my family of four, our experience at Novotel Paris Les Halles was appalling. The rooms were stiflingly hot, with no AC and no ventilation, not even in the bathroom. Opening the window only brought noise from screaming people at night and construction during the day. Staff offered no real solutions, and another couple also complained about their uncomfortably hot room, saying they were “paying an arm and a leg” for such conditions. The room was filthy—we found a pill near the window and trash under the bed. Housekeeping was a joke. Despite requesting a cleaning early in the morning, our room wasn’t touched until late afternoon, and even then, the beds were made with the same linens, the sink and bathroom weren’t cleaned, and toilet paper wasn’t replaced. Staff behavior was humiliating. One employee mocked us openly, laughing and saying, “Here they are! Room 606!” every time we entered the lobby. It was demeaning and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome. The glass shower wall, which didn’t fully turn opaque, offered no privacy and was inappropriate for families. Basic amenities like water were inadequate—two tiny bottles for four people for a five-night stay, with rude refusals for more. This hotel is a disgrace to the Novotel brand. Avoid it at all costs.

The property is in a great location on top of a metro station and walkable to major attractions. There’s lots of dining options around and the staff was fantastic. They are undergoing some renovations at this time so it can be noisy during the day.

Knew there were renovations at hotel but whole hotel covered in scaffolding, making the building at night not clear. Not ideal in an unfamiliar city. Bar and restaurant poor, the only good thing was room, but even that had a wrapped duvet -and the air con and hair dryer were not working when first arrived. Had to call engineer. Would not stay again, very poor value

Love, Love, Love this modern hotel! It is run so efficiently. The hotel is clean, convenient and economical. I highly suggest looking at their website at all the amenities offered. They also have a hotel in NYC we will stay at during our visit to NYC for the Christmas holidays.

The hotel is in a perfect location. It's surrounded by shops, supermarkets, restaurants (French, Italian, Thai, Chinese and more) and is right next to 2 key metro stations. It's under renovation now - which we didn't know ahead of time - but there was no noise and only minimal inconvennience. All the rooms have already been renovated and are nice. They are closing at the end of October 2024 and reopening early in 2025 when the construction will be all finished.

The property is under renovation 10/2024. You will not see a fine entrance or lobby with comfortable seating options. The lovely garden dining space access was obscured by plastic tarps and not open. After check in, unbearable construction noise sounded like it was in our room about 2 PM. We had to leave the room. Management did respond well, provided gifts and offered to change our room. The hotel is very well located walking distance from the Louvre and Marais district. Staff cordial and helpful. Our room was modern and well appointed. Room prices were consistent with a 4 star hotel. The construction should have been disclosed and our room should not have been rented during construction next to it.
