Summer Vacation 2019
The property is in an amazing location overlooking the surf although when the sea gets wild it is a bit noisy. Very nice service and generous breakfast everyday. We upgraded as on an extended stay and got a very spacious room overlooking the bay. The main street is close with all the restaurants and bars. The big problem is the beach which is covered in plastic trash and no one wants to take responsibility to clean in spite of it being the living for the whole town. We collected 2 big bags of trash trying to make it cleaner. Not what I want to do on my summer break!

Overall disappointed. Unfortunately for our stay the toilet, shower and then the air conditioning didn’t work. The bed was rock hard. The staff are very friendly and try to sort things out and the owner offered a bottle of wine. The room itself is very dated and needs renovation.Unfortunately I had much higher hopes as I have seen villa elizabeth many times when staying and kata and thought I would try. The location and view from the room was spectacular

Villa Elisabeth was a great place for us, as it fit exactly what we were looking for. Location, Location, Location... You have a beautiful view of the whole beach right from your balcony and from your bed. The restaurant was some of the very best food we ate in the area and you could easily access all the shops and dining within walking distance. I did not have to bother finding a spot, renting an umbrella or chair at the beach. I could just sit from my balcony lounger in the shade and enjoy with drinks delivered to my room. I just took a quick walk down the steps to dip in and out of the ocean. It was nice to come back to my room with ease to go to the bathroom or shower off the salt water. The staff was great and attentive, the rooms were cleaned and fresh towels replaced daily. Villa Elisabeth is older and has seen better days. If you are looking for a brand new resort that you would find in Palm Beach Florida- then this is not for you. I travel a lot and I do not look for the large resorts- I prefer the hut on the beach- As long as I have a bathroom and running water and a comfortable bed, and direct beach views and beach access. Then I am happy- Villa Elisabeth checked all the boxes for me!

Overall was pleasant. Staff were welcoming and helpful. They could remember us and tried to communicate with my parents in Chinese, especially during breakfast time. There was no hot water in our villa #3 since the first day. On the 2nd day, the staff came to repair the water heater, but it didn't work properly after they left. So basically we took cold shower for 2 days. We enjoyed Jacuzzi on the balcony as it faces Kata beach and the view was fantastic. Thanks

Sensational location
We stayed in the Junior Suite for a week and absolutely loved the view from the room. There was a king and a queen bed which suited our family (2 adults plus kids12 and 9yr). Each morning we enjoyed the breakfast at the outdoor restaurant overlooking the beach beneath a magnificent old tree. Although we went during the wet season (September) the temperature was perfect and we swam each day at the beach and pool.

Pros 1. Nice hotel close to the beach, nice friendly owner & staff and superb breakfast. 2. Love the fact that it is under the trees & close to the beach. Our room facing the sea. Awesome. Expect the fallen dry leaves and twigs. Its natural and they do clean and sweep daily. Thumbs up to the owner. Cons 1. Need a bit of refurbishment esp to the room closer to the restaurant/beach. I believe these are the original boutique rooms. - leaking when we stayed there and repair took almost 4 hrs. - no water on the last day for a few hrs But we do not expect 100 % perfect. As far as they entertained to the shortfall timely & responsibly. We surely recommend and come here again.

Shame about the pool, pretty but full of chlorine, I wouldn't stay longer because of this. Magnesium pool or similar would be a definite comeback. Some mound and peel painting I. Room needs fixing.

Grate location.
You cannot bear location - right on the beautiful beach. Our room was little outdated but clean. Restaurant on the property is good but pricy. You can find better prices just doin the road. Take Taxi-Miter from airport - 850 bath, this is the cheapest and has good air-conditioning.

Great lication, poor room.
The pool and grounds are not well kept. The room was small and not very clean. The location made this place worth while. Balcony was right on the ocean with easy access to beach. Breakfast was average, definitely not a buffet. The location was amazing, everything else average.

Great Position but needs some TLC
3rd time guests. Various accom packages available to suit all standards.The staff are outstanding and friendly ! They have one smallish pool.This has required refurbishment for at least 3 years though nothing has been done. Despite this the staff keep it really clean. Their restaurant is excellent and breakfasts are great! It is the lovely staff and the position (right on Kata Beach) that keeps us coming back !

WOW!! KILLER LOCATION ON THE BEACH AND GIANT SUITE
I REALLY LIKED THIS PLACE. I COULD NOT BE CLOSER TO THE BEACH. MY SUITE WAS FANTASTIC AND IN FRONT OF ME WAS THE BEACH. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO OTHERS. LOCATION, LOCATION - A++++++, COULD NOT BE BETTER. I DO NOT WANT TO BE AT SEA LEVEL GIVEN TSUNAMI RISK. THIS HOTEL IS UP OFF THE BEACH BUT ATTACHED TO THE BEACH. PERFECT. WALK A 30 FT DOWN AND YOU ARE ON THE BEST PART OF THE BEACH WHERE ALL THE RESTAURANTS AND BARS ARE LOCATED. WE HAD ROOM #2 AND FROM OUR BED WE LOOKED AT THE OCEAN AND BEACH. TRUELY THE BEST LOCATION. ROOM - IT IS A BIG SUITE, KITCHEN - MEDIUM FRIDGE, SINK WITH DISHES AND POTS AND PANS. LIVING AREA - LARGE SCREEN FLAT SCREEN TV ON THE WALL WITH CABLE (EXCELLENT ENGLISH MOVIE CHANNELS, NEWS, ETC.), DVD PLAYER, LARGE BATHROOM WITH INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SHOWER AND TWO ELEVATED BOWL SINKS (NICE), LARGE OUTDOOR PATIO WITH LOUNGE FURNITURE AND A LARGE 4 PERSON JACUZZI (NOT HEATED - YOU WANT IT COOL IN THAILAND AFTER A HOT DAY). AC WILL STRUGGLE IF YOU KEEP SLIDING GLASS DOORS OPEN SO CLOSE DOORS COMMON SENSE. WIFI COVERAGE IN THE ROOM WE HAD (#2) NOT GOOD / POOR RECEPTION. DOWN NEAR RESTAURANT / LOBBY THE RECEPTION WAS TERRIFIC. POOL - OK. NOT TERRIFIC BUT WHO IS HANGING BY THE POOL WITH ONE OF THE BEST BEACHES IN THAILAND 30 FEET AWAY. STAFF - WOW JUST TERRIFIC. GOT OUT OF THE CAB BAGS WERE GRABBED, COCKTAIL ON RECEPTION, ROOM READY WHEN WE ARRIVED, WALKED TO OUR ROOM. ELISABETH (OWNER) IS GREAT. FOOD - EXCELLENT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Hotel owner is Swiss so can expect the level of service and friendliness. But we book a villa. When we arrive, we realise they oversold and we got downgrade. Water for shower is a problem. Wifi is weak.
