Our stay at Olives Nature

Our stay at Olives Nature was good. The appartement is well equipped (except no toaster and freezer) and clean. There’s not always someone at the front desk but they can be reached pretty easily with the contacts number provided at arrival. Please notice that the apartments are on a big hill street so if you travel with young children, a stroller or if you are have a disability, it can be difficult to reach since you have to climb back the street from the historic center. Also, this street is closed / under construction (at the moment), so it can be a bit difficult to be reached by car.

Lovely area near many site seeing places. Lots of restaurants and bars. There's no parking but many nearby. I would go back there anytime I visit Porto.

Good location but creeky floors!

The location is awesome and close to train and bus stations. Just beware that the floors are really creeky and loud so it's not a great choice for light sleepers.

Great stay. The room was smaller than the photos, but spacious enough for 3 people. Desk staff was very nice; they are there only during the day. We received a lovely welcome gift of a small port bottle. It ended up being the best port we tried during our 5-day trip around the Douro. The bathroom and room were very clean. Cleaning staff only came every other day though. Breakfast had a good selection and excellent coffee. Note that the hotel is on the middle of a hill and the elevator has been out-of-service. It might be difficult for someone with accessibility issues to climb. The worst thing was the funky smell in the lobby, though noticeable even from our room on the 1st floor. Other than that, the bed was comfortable and we had a restful trip!

Delightful but get your lift permit!

The property has been open since April. The apartments are roomy, modern, comfortable and contain many amenities. (Fig, cooktop, dishes, silverware, self contained HVAC unit, etc.) While the property has been open since April they are still awaiting the permit to utilize the 'lift' in the facility. Hauling luggage up and down the stairs is a chore! The only other comment is to provide instructions for the HVAC unit. While having breakfast in the AM, I looked at the hand held device in the breakfast room, which allowed me to properly set the unit in our room.
