The location of the hotel cannot be faulted, we stayed before embarking on a cruise so it was just a short walk to the harbour. The hotel itself is very dated and tired. Our room had a view of a wall.

Our room was nice. Needs a little updating but comfortable. I would suggest that they invest in a coffee machine that makes real coffee instead of the hot pot and instant coffee. Was located centrally in the rocks so easy walk everywhere. A big thanks to the front desk! My husband left his cell phone in the room and the hotel actually sent it in a taxi to the White Bay Cruise Terminal.

Fantastic location, nice staff, some rooms have views of opera house, be aware a cruise ship may block your view if staying less than 24 hrs. Hotel is tired and needs a facelift but fair price for what it is in that location. Would stay again. Beds in one of our rooms were weird when separated as twins- mattress wasn’t very stable on divan base and would move around when getting on and off. Pool not heated but very nice and refreshing. Useful that you can store luggage before/ after check in/ check out. I used the pool area and shower after check out before flight which was wonderful.

The view from the suite was amazing. Very dated rooms but the location is perfect for walking on the waterfront in either direction - around to Barangaroo / Darling Harbour or the opposite direction to the Opera House walk / Royal Botanic Gardens. Also close to access to the Harbour Bridge to walk to North Sydney / Kirribilli. Close to restaurants, transport and many pubs/bars. If booking the room purely for the view please note that there are generally daily cruise ships that arrive around 6.30am and depart at 4.30pm and block the view of the Opera House.

Could not open a window. Did not like the look/state of the aircon vents. Filthy. Room stunk of dust. Carpet was disgusting,looked old filthy and worn. No instructions on how to use the aircon. Guess yourself Did not like that the exstraction fan in bathroom because it did not work. Nice note stating we would pay for a set off false alarm calling out fire brigade, because steam from shower can cause this to happen. Showered with door open. Staff were friendly and efficient, cleaned our room, clean sheets and towels. Just needs new carpet, new aircon, new exstraction fans and DONT blame and make the customer pay for alarms going off, when the hotel needs to engineer this safety into their matainence costs. Never go there again👎👎👎
