Hotel is definitely 5 stars. Rooms are spacious and Jones Bay view exquisite. But the standout is the staff. Perfect in every way. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

We stayed here over new year and it was really good. We had a city view, which to be honest I wasn't impressed with. We requested close together rooms and the staff accomodated this. The location of the hotel is fabulous, darling harbour is a few minutes walk away and there are lots of restaurants there. A couple of points I wasn't impressed with - the breakfast cost is high and the service was very slow. The pool area was also extremely crowded. I'm sure both of these were just bad timing with it being the holiday season. I'd stay here again/recommend to others.

Disappointed unfortunately photos of bath and views were not what was provided. Found they were added as part of the room to book but unfortunately if you dig deeper baths are shown on all rooms. Found it misleading and being an anniversary gift would have done something else if that was a case. Liked the sofitel in general just a poor experience maybe fault of my own

The trainee receptionist wasn't welcoming, gave me a piece of paper without explanining anything but asked me to sign. She dropped a pen in front of me rather than handed in to me. Rather felt she threw the pen to me. I wasnt allowed to access the pool while waiting for our room to be ready which was very disappointing as i believe most hotels let their guests use the facilities while waiting for the room if im not wrong. This is my second time staying here. I knew this hotel wasnt my favourite from my first visit but i thought i would just try again and here i am, I made a mistake.
