Great, cost effective option to Grace Bay Reports
Great unit, wonderful view that fit our budget perfectly well. This was our first time in Turks & Caicos, and we learned a lot as compared to BVI or Grand Caymans. Very little is walking distance, especially from the Queens Angel Resort. We thought we could do without a car and found that was impractical after just one day. Uber is not permitted on the island and there are no traditional taxi services. Instead, they have van pools called "taxis" that really pickup multiple passengers at different spots. While it works, its very inefficient so we bit the bullet and rented a car. Since we did not pickup at the airport and it was a holiday week, options were very limited. Scooters and bikes are not recommended since the roads are in poor shape with no shoulders or bike lanes. The beaches along Grace Bay are amazing and the unit comes with a chair and umbrellas to take with you. The water is clear and snorkeling is pretty good. There are many dining options around the island, yet all of them are relatively pricey for the quality. We averaged about 250 a night on dinner and 150 on lunch, for two people, my wife and myself. That typically included an appetizer and one drink each.
