If you want a jumbo resort you never leave that has everything there this isnt it. It's so much better. Why have 4 mediocre buffets pumping out food when you can have one that switches everyday and the food is clearly made with love. They make every day feel special you never know what to expect whether it's a live performance or a poolside bbq. Romantic xylophone performance. A rock cover band a demonstration of traditional Mexican dances. It's always entertaining. The location is perfect 70peso cab ride to malecon. Directly beside Puerto magico the cruise ship port for whale watching or any tours. Right beside a Mexican Walmartish place called chadrau that you can get anything you need. This hotel I will admit maybe won't knock your socks off with first impression but you will love it more and more everyday you stay they punch away above their weight. Beach access is close and has drink. This is an authentic Mexican experience not a resort catered to rich Americans who won't go out of there comfort zone. Food is soo good and traditional with a different theme every day. I honestly can't say enough if you are not adventurous you can still have a very relaxing time by the warm pool. It's kept very clean. The Mexican charm isn't just a thing they say it's true I would absolutely go back
Staff was wonderful. The property is small but nice. Good pool. Clean room.
The food wasn't that great. Breakfast was thier best. For the price can't really complain.
They need to do a lot better gave it such a low rating because the food was so bad. I paid $400 usd for one night and the food they served was a joke they had no protein options other beef teriyaki, they had a plate of onions and jalapeños it said shrimp in the description never saw any shrimp in the whole buffet. Just pay a little more and stay somewhere else or you willl be extremely disappointed ☹️
The resort was terribly loud - both the music and shouting in the corridors. The service was slow.
The pool was virtually unaccessible for 2 of the 3 days of our stay

All inclusive food was good. Service attentive and friendly. Over charged for a lost “towel card”, margarita was too sweet to drink, but tequila shots were good! Room was pleasant.

Liked: Staff & service
Areas around the property are dirty, and some corners in the hotel need to be cleaned out. They have the most wonderful personality in all the areas we love them all only need more attention on the cleaning. Food was good but Italian food never was good notice most of people threw it away.
The hotel I chose to conclude 2024 and welcome 2025 has become one of the worst memories of my life. Although it claims to be all-inclusive, it requires guests to pay for meals just to stay here. (Even if you don’t eat, they threaten to cancel your reservation if you don’t pay.) Furthermore, you must make separate reservations for the meals you’ve already paid for, yet there was no prior notice or information about this. To make matters worse, they refused to provide us with a table because we hadn’t made a reservation.
The meal in question was a special New Year’s Eve dinner, and the cost was $125 USD per person. The service from the front desk staff is absolutely terrible, and both the restaurant host and front desk staff are busy shifting the blame to each other. This has left us even more frustrated and disappointed, with no resolution in sight.
We were hoping for a really chill all inclusive with Mexican charm and this is that! The building is lovely, it has aged so it might not be what some expect. The staff kept the rooms, pool, common areas incredibly clean. The food was OK. Drinks were great. I had hoped for a bit more entertainment/activities but the trade off of being super low key was worth it. The pool area and court yard are gorgeous. We didn't consistently get warm water when we showered and the room smelled mildewy. But i took that as age of the building and it didn't detract from our good time.
The property is cute but old, the pictures don’t represent the age of the hotel.
The beds are not comfortable and the showers are in need of renovation, however the rooms are lovely.
The dining area is nice but the food is not good, think catering to cheap American food vs authentic Mexican food, for example you can get a cheap quality burger and fries but won’t find a single avocado all week.
We spent one week at the resort. The accommodations were ok. The beds were somewhat comfortable. The bathroom was definitely in need of an renovation. Older toilet that was finicky when flushing. The sink tap was not secured down properly. The shower door was a metal frame with a piece of obscure plexiglass in it. The door also did not latch shut. The food at the resort was abit bland. There also wasn't enough selection. The themed nights at the buffet except for the mexican fiesta were disappointing. There was one that was an Italian night. They had a small pasta bar setup, but then they still had refried beans, tortillas, and other Mexican dishes. The last 3 days at the resort we left to get food at restaurants nearby. The resort caters mostly to Mexicans. There was alot of change over of people who were only staying a few nights at a time. The resort is small but very quaint and has an authentic Mexican feel. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. Eric the bartender was amazing. Very friendly and such a hard worker. Ceasar from the buffet serving crew was great! Very attentive and so polite. Our glasses were always full when he was around. They have a semi private beach section about a 5 minute walk away. They also have a shuttle. They setup a bar at the beach as well for all the guests. The beach area isn't sectioned off so all the people selling things will come by and ask if you want something. The resort is very clean. The house keeping was great.
