Definately needs a remodel. No outlets in bathroom, have to step up into. We were in 242 which was a suite. Very old hotel. The buffet was really nice as was the entertainment on saturday night. Noisy at times from the pool area with lots of kids screaming.

We spotted this resort on a previous trip and immediately planned a friends trip. The location in the heart of old city is unbeatable. The resort is small but has everything you need. All areas are very very clean. The staff right from check in to check out were so nice. Our whole group loved Alejandro who served us every day. He genuinely loves his job and is so friendly and was always happy to help. The cleaning staff for the room were so kind and top notch. A la carte went 2 nights and it was so tasty! The women cooking eggs in the morning was the best and so nice. She deserves all the tips! The beach set up is great. The man works very hard to set everything up for you and he is super friendly. I give high praise to this budget friendly resort. My only issue was the overwhelming amount of vendors on the beach. We saw the same 15 people 10 times a day asking for us to buy. They did not care if you were talking to someone else or sleeping or reading your book. Unfortunately our group gave up on the beach after two days because of this. I know they are trying to make a living but this was the most persistent and aggressive selling I have seen in all of Mexico Overall 10 out of 10. Thank you for an awesome trip!

The lack of cleanliness around the pool area was disappointing as well as the hallways and the stairwells. Rooms were decent but definitely run down.

We were not aware this hotel is super gay friendly, every other person was gay. Made us very uncomfortable especially as 2 straight guys getting constantly hit on and stared at, beware if your looking for a party resort. Steer away if you’re straight. They should mention this more often in the actual reviews.

Los Arcos is a traditional Puerto Vallarta landmark. Super clean, staff are friendly and sincere. It's an older hotel so don't expect bling bling, but at the end of the day the rooms are comfortable, clean and the food is absolutely amazing with a focus on traditional cuisine. Tipping is normal, just remember they will probably not be able to make change at the concierge to smaller pesos. Bring 20' and 50' bills for that cause the staff do deserve tips.... just not 100 pesos tips for every little thing. We will surely return!

El hotel está hermoso en las áreas de afuera, en cuarto está a limpio lo único es que yo me quedé en el cuarto 414 y la puerta esta un poco en malas condiciones… pero el personal súper amable en recepción Luis Miguel tiene un muy buen servicio al cliente y ni se diga de la señora que nos atendía al llegar al restaura súper amable:) recomendado 10 de 10

It took 3 days of cold showers and complaining until we finally got hot water. The "all inclusive" and restaurant options are very misleading! The bar, restaurant and buffet are all the same area. You can order a la carte, but you have to pay half price. The "restaurant" is a 3 course meal that you can only go to with a reservation 24 hours in advance and with a voucher. We only got 2 vouchers for a 10 night stay. Buffet themes / meals were not listed/posted. We had to pay to eat at other restaurants twice because the menu at the buffet was not anything we would/could eat. If we knew in advance, we could have used our "vouchers" for those days. Hours of the pool are only 10am to 10pm. Should be earlier at the very least. Bar and buffet staff were all very friendly and welcoming. View from the dinning area and infinity pool was beautiful...saw many wonderful sunsets over dinner.
