I would describe Hotel El Eden as "just fine." It was a bit of an odd experience, as we only saw one other set of guests the entire time we were there. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful; their English was good enough, and they took care of everything promptly. Kitchen staff spoke only Spanish, which was a bit of surprise given that the listing says the staff is multi-lingual, but language barriers are to be expected when traveling, and we were ultimately able to order without issue.
Food was very good, especially the chicken fajitas.
Room was a good size, but there were a few broken or dirty objects. Overall it was fine though, and I didn't mind sleeping there.
WiFi was okay, not good or great, but did work in our room and we were able to look at the few things we needed.
The beach itself is only a few minutes walk away, if you can convince one of the resort security guards to let you through. If you can't, the public beach is quite a ways more, probably about a 10-minute walk. There are a number of shops and restaurants along the walk. Would not recommend walking it at night.
