First impressions were amazing, and the facilities top notch. The leisure area with pool, gym etc was awesome, with a couple of very friendly and helpful staff members. The swimming pool was great to recover from a bit of travelling and gym made us feel human again. The jacuzzi and saunas were much appreciated too! Breakfast was included and very plentiful and we found the staff very attentive. This place is aimed at the business traveller, and the menu's etc all in English first, then Japanese and then Thai, however we found the evening staff disappointing and the situation was not helped by their lack of English. My partner had received his meal way before mine was even thought of. I asked for it and had to wait another 10 minutes for it arrive, by which time he had long finished his meal. The automatic service charge, which I was most definitely not paying, was immovable by the computer system, but it took 30 minutes to resolve the issue at the till. We decided to eat elsewhere the next night! We did however use our complimentary drinks vouchers on the second night, only to be told we'd ordered the wrong drinks and would have to pay for them. Again a communication error, which we waited for 15 minutes to be resolved and ended up simply walking away without drinking our drinks as it was turning into another shambles.
If you decided to stay in this hotel, I would recommend you eat everything but breakfast elsewhere, especially if you are not a competent Thai speaker.
