Great location right in one end of the pedestrian zone in Reykjavik. Hotel is a bit quirky, but it was an experience.

Great personality and location!
This property was very accommodating with such a fun decor, including even the bedding! Loved the bedding. Mel the manager had spot on recommendations, knew about transport and was a joy to talk to. Was always willing to help. Huge shout out to Mel!!! It is in a very active part of town (noisy) but that is part of the vibe and convenience. Did I say I loved the bedding??

Right in Reykjavik and convenient to a lot of shopping, restaurants and bars. The artwork is great and the seating areas are cool and inviting. The front desk staff are very helpful with showing where free parking can be obtained if you are willing to walk a few blocks. We did and it was nice to see the residential area near there and we felt very safe walking late at night from our car. They also provided me with an umbrella on a very rainy evening.

i stayed here three nights and it’s super convenient. bus stops are close by as well as restaurants and tourist shopping venues. it certainly can get noisy in the evenings because the bars are around the property. that said, they close up at 4 pm. i felt safe around the area regardless. Mel was the staff member i interacted with and they were great - super helpful and if you're lucky, you’ll even see their puppy. there is no restaurant in rhe property so you’ll have to venture out to find breakfast. that said, there are excellent bakeries just down the street.

Oh City Center!! There was nothing wrong with the room or hotel overall. The staff were helpful. We did have a leak in our bathroom sink that was going onto the floor and we told them but didn't see like a big deal. We put a towel under and left it be. The beds were comfortable, however we did not get to actually sleep in them very much. Our room was in the front of the building and we heard the music from the bars, as well as, the accordion player in the streets until at least 5:00am. This was our fault for not realizing we were on one of the busiest streets in Reyjavik. We used ear plugs and made the best of it. Location was perfect for finding restaurants and bars and convenient to harbor and most sites. The price was reasonable as well. I would definitely get a hotel with parking on my next trip. We couldn't pull up to this hotel and once we finally found a garage, it was only open 7:00am-midnight. We had to move to the street for an early morning flight. I'm not sure I would stay again. I think I need my sleep too much! lol

City Center Hotel was in the perfect location for what we wanted to do in Reykjavik. It's close to restaurants and nightlife and we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. The staff was incredible at recommending parking (parking is in P1 and is free after 9 pm). The rooms were gorgeous and clean.
