The room was clean but smelled like mildew. The breakfast was poor, we got downstairs at 8:45 and there were no eggs, no orange juice, no milk for the cereal and the fridge with the yogurts was almost empty. Very disappointing and the staff on duty did not seem interested in restocking.

The personnel at the Hampton Inn Mechanicsville are always to friendly and helpful, whether in person or on the phone. This is second stay with this hotel for an event in Richmond, and it will always be my go-to each year because of the friendly staff, and the comfort of our stay. This was a last minute stop, but the hotel was great. The room was clean and spacious. There was quite a bit of noise from the interstate, but otherwise it was quiet. Our biggest issue was that breakfast was shortened by an hour on a Saturday morning. The biggest sign said it ended at 10 am, but when we arrived at 9:05, the staff was cleaning everything up.and didn't say a word. So we figured it out,but some sort of emphasis would've been nice.
