I had an amazing stay at Ibiza Barra Hotel. Nobody spoke any English and I don't speak any Portuguese, so there was definitely a language barrier, but all of the staff were so amazing and so patient while I tried to translate. Particularly Ezequiel was amazing, he was very friendly and helpful and we were sad to have to say goodbye. If I ever visit Barra again I will be looking to book here!

Decent place for the price.
I found the room to be in good state of repair and clean if a bit on the small side. The service was always friendly. A reasonable selection of food for breakfast but not extensive, no tea / coffee making facility in the room but coffee available during the evening. Location was fairly quiet even though there is a lot of construction nearby for a new road but I didn't hear any noise from it. A few restaurants, supermarket etc within easy walking distance and a fairly quiet beach 15 - 20 mins walk away.

Rio doesn't have to cost $200 per night
Price is good, but you need a car and need to speak some Portuguese or Spanish, as you will get lost and will need to ask directions.

Foi satisfatória. Pontos chatos: Coloquei a plaqueta na maçaneta às 09:40 para que arrumassem o quarto, fui para rua e ao voltar às 17h o quarto não havia sido arrumado, toalhas de banho não foram trocadas. Está tendo uma obra que começa às 08h da manhã e fica impossível permanecer no quarto ou em qualquer área comum em paz devido ao barulho da máquina de britadeira. Deveria ter um aviso no site informando que o espaço está passando por obras.

Péssima estadia
Fizemos a reserva no dia 07/nov, que foi confirmada pelo hotel e paga. Chegando no dia, não havia mais quartos disponiveis. A recepcionista estava perdida (e mais preocupado em bater papo com um rapaz que estava falando no balcão), e nos deu um cartão do quarto X. Chegando lá, o quarto não abria, e ouvimos o barulho de chuveiro ligado. Foi aí que descemos e ela verificou que o quarto estava ocupado e não tinha mais quarto disponivel. Resolveram nos colocar no hotel ao lado, que também era de propriedade deles. Chegando lá, o recepcionista, muito atencioso, fez nosso cadastro e nos deu um cartão, que abriu a posta de um quarto que TAMBEM estava ocupado. Abrimos a porta e tinha uma pessoa dentro. Constrangedor. Descemos, explicamos, e foi aí que, enfim, nos deram um quarto vago, que não tinha toalha! :-) Enfim, péssimo gerencimaneto. Péssimo atendimento. Serviço de quarto horrível, pois pedimos toalha e o rapaz chegou com travesseiro. Chegamos no café de manhã às 9h40 (horário era até 10h), e não tinha mais bolo, não tinha mais suco, o as coisas q tinham já estavam acabando. Se o hotel disponibiliza café de manhã até às 10h, se eu chegar 9h55 tem que ter TODAS as opções lá, não importa o horário. Resumindo, Hotel Ibisa é horrível e o hotel que fica ao lado, é menos pior, mas ruim.

Gostei da acomodação, mas me incomodou um pouco o fato de não haver uma academia no Hotel, e como na região da Barra é tudo um pouco longe, impossibilitou o uso de academia, outro ponto de analise, no café da manhã o suco estava muito ruim, sensação de produto de 3a linha.
