Grand style of hotel from a hundred or a hundred and fifty years ago. Had two rooms, one on the 1st floor (2nd floor in the U.S) facing the street - lots of streets noise most of the time. 2nd room was a higher interior room and it had had some hallway noises and noise from other nearby rooms. Once again it's a hotel that's been around for some years. Overall a good experience.

Location is amazing, close to public transportation both within the city and to/from the airport. It's a shopping strip and very decent prices. One drawback was that the property is old and we were smelling smell of cigarettes smoke in our room, I think due to the ventilation system. We told one of the housekeeping staff and she helped with spraying the room with air freshener. The staff were super nice and friendly both at the reception and housekeeping. Very very clean. Another thing was that some nights there was a loud noise coming from somewhere around the hotel like a club or a DJ until 12am if you are interested to turn in early you might need earplugs. Breakfast buffet was great too. Had multiple cheese options, fruits, eggs, bacon, sussage, premade omelette, juices, breads, etc. The coffee machine was amazing, great coffee. The patio for dining was really nice. All and all an excellent place to stay, 15-20 min walk to almost all of the attractions. A couple of grocery stores were close by and a McDonald's across from the hotel. Very safe neighbourhood.

The property is historic and located centrally. Breakfast area and breakfast was good. The issue was with the soundproofing of the rooms. Perhaps because of the older construction, there is absolutely no soundproofing. Couldn’t sleep entire night as there was noise from the room next door. There were also small red ants on the side table.

Front desk very knowledgeable! Hotel restaurant closes early and that was disappointing. Plenty of easily accessible walking and centrally located. Great restaurants near Opera House which is behind the hotel a couple blocks. Felt safe and decorated beautifully for Christmas!
