Amazing place to stay in Nelson Bay! It is a bit pricey, and so is the rest of Nelson Bay. The room was clean and had a balcony and a nice view. The room had an inbuilt jacuzzi as well in the bath and there is a large living room area. The pool outside is very large and beautiful, and the steam room is a great commodity to have available. The staff were very friendly, one of them was so nice that she waited until 11pm to check us into our rooms, thank you so much to her! And finally, the beds were very comfortable!
Downsides:
The main downside is dining. The restaurant that is usually open there was closed because as we were told, "went on a holiday." This restaurant is independent of the resort, but still, this was inconvenient. Breakfast is also not available there. A buffet-type breakfast (something often seen in hotels and resorts) would be a nice addition to have and I recommend the owners to include this.
Also, most of the large pool is shallow and made for kids. It would have been nice if it was more suited for adults to use, but there were areas where adults could swim so that's okay.
Overall, would recommend it. Very professionally kept and comfortable resort! A buffet and/or working restaurant would push me up to 5 stars.
