The Mandarin Oriental in Santiago in November 2024
The hotel is fabulous and lives up to the 5 star rating. It was absolutely clean, except for some rooms that seem to have doors that need refurbishing. It must be a wing that probably has not been renovated but is visible from the walkway. The restaurants in the facility were excellent, particularly the Matsuri, which offers Japanese/Peruvian fusion. The pool was super cold but the lounging area was pretty comfortable with continuous music that gets to be a little loud occasionally. They should have some heating installed. The view from our room was stunning. It felt like we were smacked right in the middle surrounded by the beautiful Andes mountains 180 degrees. I couldn’t have asked for more. The room was very spacious. It had a step-down from the bed area to a seating area that had a desk.You would not feel cramped at all. Loved it!

When planning our trip we had no idea what to expect other than the Mandarin Oriental is known for luxury. I cannot say enough about how nice, happy and accommodating the staff at this M.O. are. The room was very well appointed and large! Temperature perfect! OMG the shower was the best we have ever experienced!! If you havent yet join the Fans of M.O.! They have amazing experiences and specialty things they do for you and we had a couple really nice surprises!! To name a few staff that went above and beyond were Stephanie from guest relations, Andres the concierge, Karen in the bar and Alonzo(forgive me if I spelt it wrong) the bellhop. These people and many more whose names escape me made this feel like home!

An immaculate and friendly five star hotel. Rooms are large and really well appointed, with USB plugs, nice toiletries and really comfortable beds, plus space to work. All the staff are so helpful and really looked after me as a solo traveller. Lots to walk to nearby, although there are alsoa lot of big roads. Both restaurants are really good.

Brilliant weekend. Still waiting for the Spa to be renovated but enjoyed a relaxing massage anyway. Matsuri restaurant was fantastic on Saturday night. Staff were friendly , breakfast good . Excellent view from the room of the Andes. Very good.
