Beautiful room and hotel. We didn’t use the spa area. The room was spotlessly clean. The only thing I didnt love was the pillow seemed to be weighted with beans or some such. Quite comfortable to fall asleep in but a bit challenging to adjust overnight.
We also used the parking (extra charge) - it was quite easy to access and very convenient.
It was my second time at this hotel and it was not a let down. I still have yet to use the public bath but amenities are helpful - I need a comb. Close walk to the botanical garden and Odori park. Amazing ramen is all within walking distance.
The onsen really helped with our sleep after walking around all day.
Breakfast style is authentic Japanese and we’re very happy we got to enjoy it during our stay.
A stylish and pleasant option -- we stayed a single night at the end of road trip. Room was very nicely designed for a somewhat limited space with a seating area looking out over the gardens, comfortable beds. Depending on your itinerary this may not be your pick for the onsen experience if you have other opportunities, over the many good options out of town around the island -- it was very well done and new but a bit small and a bit crowded relative to others visited on the trip. You will get a very pleasant and beautifully designed experience either way but you are paying for the onsen (based solely on our experience) so factor that in.
We had such a wonderful stay here! The Ryokan had all the traditional Japanese elements with a modern touch with made it super comfortable. The rooms had tatami mats and low beds. The regular rooms were a bit on the small side but we didn't mind because it felt very cozy. Room also came with mochi treats and green tea.
The area was a pleasant 10 minute walk to the center, and just across was the Hokkaido Botanical Garden. Right beside the Ryokan was a 24hr Family Mart which made it super convenient to buy snacks and drinks.
The design of the Ryokan was very well thought out, natural materials were used- wood, rocks, stones. Tt felt like being in a wellness retreat staying here. Plus they had an Onsen in the property!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would love to stay there next time I'm back in Sapporo!
Everything about this ryokan is immaculate--the site is beautiful, the onsen is so healing, and the kaiseki was amazing. I absolutely loved my stay, here.
