I could have just stayed and relaxed at the Desoto but that would have defeated getting to know Savannah. The staff was outstanding! I'll be back!!

Loved the location!!!! Just bring good walking shoes. Staff is nice the rooms were a little dated but not a deal breaker it is a historic area. CVS is close by and Parker’s market so you can stock up on drinks and limit the the cost of spending. We Uber to the Airport and outlets everyone was super nice. The location was the star highlight!!

The doors of the rooms were quite noisy and hard to open and close. Bring earplugs especially for a Saturday night when things are busy. Other than that it’s a wonderful stay.

I loved the first floor of the hotel. That where they put their Reno money however they needed to invest in insulating the walls from room to room. The first two nights were great. The final evening was horrible. The two rooms on both sides of our room were noisy, noisy, noisy. One family came in at 1:00am and the other partied until about 2:00am. The talking and baby crying sounded like they were in my room, that’s how sheer the walls were.Hence I didn’t fall asleep until after 3:00 am.Miserable sleep. The hallways are dark they need more lighting. Tub and sink were cracked. They also needed more hang space for people that are friends and not a couple. Please insulate the walls :(

Rooms are very outdated. The bathroom sink has rust and the bathtub was not the cleanest. Also, the bathtub drain was clogged. I did not complain since I only stayed for one night, so it was doable for me. The staff and the location of the hotel are great!

Overall, a great stay. Poolside room (not fancy, but it's an older building) and pool were great. Decent coffee at the coffee shop. Room could have been cleaner (not vacuumed or dusted), but beds and pillows were comfy. Location was fantastic! Staff was excellent and friendly.

The Desoto is in the perfect location to explore Savannah. Close to the river, close to Forsyth park, lots of great food choices. To start with, the staff is outstanding! Friendly, accommodating and so professional! The pool was our favorite place in the Desoto! After a day of exploring Savannah, sitting in the pool with the nice breeze, the great views and a wonderful cocktail perfectly prepared us for a night in Savannah. The property does need some updating, which I think they may be starting. But we are pretty easy going so we will definitely stay at the Desoto again.

We didn’t know you must to pay $40 for valet parking per day. Also we have a bad experience because a big dog was barking next door at 11 pm, I know is a pet friendly hotel but you should have rules for it. I don’t think we will come back here.
