The building is unique and elegant, inside and out. Plenty of places to eat and shop. Next door to University of Scranton. Half hour to Mohegan Sun Casino and horse racing. 20 minutes to Montage Mountain. NY Yankees farm team stadium is in Montage Mountain.

Good stay and experience overall. Cool and funky lobby area. Very good, reasonably priced food at both the bar and the restaurant downstairs. Bed was quite comfortable. Room was a little small and a bit stuffy feeling but fine for a quick stay.

There didn't seem to be a lot of staff around. Only one person at the desk. No one opening doors, or helping with baggage, or greeting guests to the hotel. parking in front is no problem but if that lot is full then the auxiliary is behind the hotel with very poor lighting and no signage. Behind the hotel is dark and sketchy. I did not feel safe by myself. Our room was nice, a little bland in decor and the bed felt (to me) like a concrete slab, but I guess bed softness is person preference. The staff, drinks and food in the Trax bar were exceptional! I would probably stay here again because of it's location and old world beauty and ambiance.

Dinner out in Scranton
We were in Scranton for a dinner out with the family. We love the Station Hotel mainly because it is a beautiful historic hotel. The lobby decor is festive and amazing. The bar also is nice. I was travelling with my service dog and I appreciated the pet friendliness. In terms of improvement, our room looked like it needed a refurbish. We were on the 3rd floor.Overall a great stay.
