The view from the room was great. The front desk guy was cool af. The only thing I guess we didn’t like is there were splatter marks on the tv screen and fingerprints from someone doing their makeup and touching the bathroom door/walls but honestly that isn’t even a big deal :)

My stay was lovely. It was a little noisy from the guy above me at 5 am but it’s an old motel and soundproofing wasn’t much of a thing back then. I had a delicious dinner at Joes on the Beach.

Right across from the ocean and a nice ocean path. Joe's on the Beach restaurant on the property was excellent for service and gluten free choices(I'm celiac) The room was spacious, clean and had a beautiful ocean view.

THE BAD: The staff was great, but unfortunately the way the hotel presents itself online does NOT match what it really is. Online it looks like a quiet Oceanside hotel with a number of amenities. In reality it’s a standard renovated 70’s roadside motel right next to the highway. The ocean is on the other side of the highway and you can see it from the room (even though half our balcony window was broken / fogged up), but you always have vehicle and pedestrian traffic in front of your window. It’s unfortunately VERY NOISY! Aside from the highway and constant flow of cars, we were unfortunately on the ground floor and since the bones of the hotel are very old, the upstairs guests walking in their room is VERY noisy with constant wood squeaks. If you’re a light sleeper, your night is over once the upstairs guests are up and traffic picks up in the morning. THE GOOD: The staff was friendly and it was nice to have a number of great restaurants in walking distance and the ocean close by. IN SUMMARY: It was fully renovated and LOOKS modern, but it unfortunately doesn’t match the description, is very noisy and wasn’t what we were looking for when looking for a quiet weekend getaway at the Sunshine Coast.

We loved the Oceanside, Davis Bay. We are definitely going back soon. I found the view spectacular, our room on the second floor just wonderful. We had beautiful weather. All the staff were pleasant and very helpful. Moises went out of his way and even remembered to wish me a Happy Birthday. That alone was special. Thank you, Oceanside, for everything you will see us soon.

The property location is excellent as it is right across the wharf extended into the water and the pedestrian water front walks on both direction. However, the facility inside the unit/room are not as good as many small items are not working or missing.
