And with 10,300,000 locals calling the capital of South Korea home, there's loads of opportunities to meet a few new BFFs. After landing and gathering your bags at Gimpo International Airport, your taxi will head 20 kilometres east to arrive in Seongbuk-gu. From the city centre, it's a distance of 5 kilometres to the northeast.

This city is filled with awesome things to do, and you'll find many of them near Seongbuk-gu. It's no easy task to pick the best attractions, but Dongdaemun Market and Gyeongbok Palace are two you should not miss. Don't forget to put the National Museum and the Korea University on your schedule too. For another perspective on Seoul, head to Chongamil-tong and Miail-tong, nearby neighbourhoods just waiting to be explored.

The COEX Convention and Exhibition Center is certainly up there with the most well-known sights of Seoul. Reaching it won't be hard, as it's situated just 9 kilometres from the centre of the city.
