RUN AWAY if you can, this place is terrible, terrible, they don't clean your room even if you ask and request it, they are passive aggressive and they say yes to everything but NOTHING GETS DONE. There is almost nobody at the front desk ever, therefore is almost impossible to get help or orientation to navigate Seoul. The room is terrible with the WORST SEWER odor all over your room that at a times it feels sofocating AND IS HARD TO BREATH, I am surprise they allow a place like this to operate. There is NOT a real SHOWER, there is a place next to the toilet that is a shower and sink, if you take a shower and then need to brush your teeth TOO BAD your feet is going to get wet and remember they don't change the towels, they have this nasty rubber sandals NOT DISPOSABLES, everybody uses the same, just be aware of fungus infections and bacterias... If you are broke and want a good location because this is the only good thing about this place, it has a great location, this is your place. If you want a decent place this is not your place, this is most like a hostel. Their breakfast is terrible, everyday the same same same basic things, if you arrive 20 mins. before closing time there is NO COFFEE and they don't make more because I asked and they didn't bother to make more coffee even though it was only 9:40 a.m. they say the operating hours for breakfast is 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. go early if you want a free cup of coffee. If there were 0 stars that is what this place deserves it.

Quiet and accessible to bus and train stations, restaurants, shopping, Cathedral and everything in Myeongdong area. The place is very clean and cozy. The lobby is cozy for chilling out. Will highly recommend and defintely return here next visit.

First the good: the location is really good - close to the Myeongdong center, subway station and the airport bus stop. Then not so good: the hotel room and bathroom were small (which we expected). The cleaning was supposed to be according to the following schedule: no cleaning after the first day, new towels and garbage pickup after the second and then sheet replacement after the third. We were staying for 3 nights so I expected to have at least the towels replaced and the garbage collected but it didn't happen. Probably because of the wet towels the whole room became quite stuffy.

The Ehwa Hotel was very clean and a good location for shopping and Myeongdong street food (right around the corner!). The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was very simple and okay. Beds were pretty firm but still doable. The rooms are very small, but we were able to fit two large and one medium luggage, one carryon, and two backpacks, plus items we purchased in our room. The bathroom was very interesting. The shower was part of the sink and a shower curtain separated the sink/shower area from the toilet (see pic). But again it was doable. The issue to be aware of is the road in front of the hotel is for walking only. Therefore, taxis can not drive and drop you off in front of the hotel. It's about a half block walk up the hill to the hotel front door. Not bad, but something to be aware of. Overall for the price, cleanliness and location of the Ehwa Hotel it was a good value.

It’s really great location for myeongdong shopping and take bus to airport. This hotel is very good except room is too small. Staff is friendly. We spent three nights and feel luck to pick the right hotel.

Walking distance to Myeongdong/ central location in Seoul is the best part about this stay. Everything else is just average. Breakfast is cereal, toast and an egg. Small bathrooms, not supposed to flush toilet paper. Need to put it in the trash. Front desk says they have a cleaning policy but they don’t perform cleaning unless you specifically request it. It’s manageable for a solo traveler for 1-2 days but not ideal. If you’re traveling with two people just go for a nicer hotel across the street.

Overall, the hotel is good: staff, location, cleanliness, very nice room, drinking water available outside the room. These things make our family not happy with the hotel: 1) we stayed on 8th floor, the elevator only goes up to the 7th floor. We had to carry all luggage (some were 50 lbs/ 23kg) up the stairs from 7th to 8th floor. 2) bathrooms were too small for toilet, sink and shower. No hooks in bathroom to hang clothes when showering.

My family stayed here for 4 weeks and they loved it walkable to Myeongdong street and accessible everywhere. They transferred from Lotte to Ehwa hotel. Definitely recommended! The staff are helpful! And owner and Manager is very reliable. They even got a cake as a present.

EHWA is what it says it is. Functional, clean and smartly designed- space has been well utilized, as there is so little of it. Tiny rooms, but hey at this price and location, I'm not complaining - besides I came to experience Seoul not EHWA! The breakfast they offer is generic basic, we went to the plethora of cafes in hood for excellent coffee, Koreans LOVE good coffee, and local restaurants for local food.

The hotel is easy to find. I just took the airport bus, got off at Myeongdong, cross the street and hotel is just around the corner. Location is great walking distance to Myeongdong street. The room and bathroom is very tiny but it’s clean. Airport bus pick up is just around the corner.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and enjoyed it. The staff helpful. The location is very convenient. Nightlife is around the corner. Walkable to many attractions. We just didn’t like putting the used toilet paper in the trash instead of flushing it.
