This was my first stay in Seoul and I loved it. The manager was kind and generally around during check-in hours if needed. Each floor has trash and recycling areas, used towel bin, and a clean towel cupboard. A shared kitchen is on the 4th floor with just about everything you need for simple food prep including a microwave, cook top, microwave, and water dispenser to refill water bottles. Rooms have room and bathroom slippers, a small desk, closet with a mini-fridge inside, and compact wet bathroom. If you haven’t travel to S Korea or many Asian countries before, the bathroom and towels might be an adjustment. Do some research on how to manage. It’s a little more effort than western bathrooms but practical and truly not a big deal. As others noted, the walls are paper thin between rooms, and during check in guests are asked to keep it down, but you’re at the mercy of the other guests courtesy level. I travel with earplugs and noise cancelling headphones, so it was fine for me. The location was great for restaurants, wandering the area, and for accessing buses and the subway. I could get just about everywhere I wanted to go on one bus without transferring (I prefer buses so I can see more of the city, but the subways are fantastic too). I would absolutely stay here again.

Plain and simple. Great location. Exactly what I hoped for - friendly manager fluent in English. Right in the heart of the city. Can eat your breakfast on the 6th floor rooftop - 7 Eleven close by. Laundry available. 3rd floor no elevator.

The room assigned to us was clean and beddings and pillow cases are all white and clean too. The room has small fridge and hair blower is available. The towels are all white but very small to cover your body but good enough to dry body after shower. The manager is very accommodating and very helpful to meet our needs to the extent of ordering food for us and helping us carry our luggage to the bus stop going to the airport. The rooms though are located on the 3rd and 4th floor with no elevator but the building has means to bring luggages to the room with the assistance of the manager.

Recommend due to the value, location, and amenities. But fair warning - it is a small private room and bathroom with a very firm mattress. There is a kitchen (which we used to make breakfast) - it is also VERY small but efficient. The rooftop area was nice to relax and the access to a washing machine was a bonus!

The owner and manager is very accommodating. He assisted us in our check in. He let us leave our baggage during our last day even if we were already officially checked out. It's a hostel so don't expect much but generally its OK given that you booked it only as a place to sleep as most of your time during the day you are out on a tour.

Hostel Chloe is in a great location and the room although very small is clean. My only comment would be that the pictures make it look as though there is a kettle in the room, this isn’t the case but there is a communal one in the hall. The owner and son seem pleasant enough but no one was around when we arrived and we had to ring and just leave luggage in the small office, then when we came back later we had to ring again and knock on a room door to find the guy working. There was a note to inform us and we could use the office phone so not the end of the world but slightly odd....maybe it was because it was a Sunday!

Our stay was very comfortable, the room is ok for the size and even though we were located on the 5th floor and there is no elevator, we are comfortable. room and toilet is clean and well maintained, the owner helped us carry our luggage to our room on our checkin. though there is no elevator in the building, there is a mini elevator for your luggages which can carry your luggages from fifth to second and vice versa. Location is also very good since there are a lot of restaurants once you go out of the hostel.

Let me just start of by saying that Mr. James is probably one of the most accommodating host that I have come across with. I initially booked the 2-bunk bed room for a 4 night stay, however, the room was unfortunately already booked for our first night, so Mr. James kindly upgraded our room at no additional cost for that night then gave us our originally booked room the following night. The hostel's location is excellent as it is walking distance from tourist spots such as Myeongdong, City Hall, Grevin Museum, Gyeongbokgung Palace and Star Avenue to name a few. Free breakfast of toast, jam, tea and coffee is also provided which is a plus for the budget conscious traveller. In conclusion, will definitely stay at this hostel again when we come back to Korea. This hostel deserves more than just 5 stars!! Extremely happy and satisfied. Thank you Mr. James for making our stay in Korea comfortable and hassle free :)
