The hotel is very nice, the food was amazing. The only down side was the shuttle bus in the morning was fully booked, and we had to walk to the bus terminal.
Really nice spot stay a night or 2 to enjoy Shirakawago. Facility amenities is unmatched. Onsite onsen is nice ( private/public). A bit far from the bus station however they do have shuttle service to the bus station and back. Highly recommended especially with a large party.
Stayed one night after visiting Shirakawago. For the price I paid, it was a great deal. The room had a bedroom and a living room that also came with beds. It was nice to have the separate rooms but the sound still carried through the windows. The hotel has a pickup option from the local bus station every 15-30 minutes or so. The onsite onsens were beautiful and had many options, including a private tub. The breakfast option was a substantial Japanese style breakfast. There is a convenient store about half a mile from the hotel if you need to pick anything up.
Hotel itself is lovely and nice facility. Staff however need significant improvements. Staff speak very limited English and are not very friendly nor helpful. Bus service is a terrible as they donât follow the timetable and only limited to 9 ( but was not communicated) so bus leaves when it is full even though the reception staff said no booking required and just show up a couple of mins earlier. Very disappointed with this hotel and will not recommend it.
Truly one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in. Should be rated five stars. The facilities were elegant and spotless. The onsen was large and clean with two private baths which could be used on a first come first served basis. The hotel offered a lot of freebies such as popsicles, non alcoholic drinks, and even late night ramen. We had two meals included in the price, a dinner and a breakfast the next morning. The meals were elaborate and beautifully presented. A quick shout out to our waitress from Taiwan, Judy who provided impeccable service.
Very new Japanese style ryokan. Virtually no english spoken and no amenities beyond superb dinner. If you don't like Japanese breakfast you are out of luck. Very nice property.
The hotel appears quite new and clean and provides a delightful experience. You have the option to select your own yukata to wear within the hotel and bring along the towel basket to the onsen. Throughout the night, they offer a variety of complimentary drinks and snacks such as mochi, noodles, popsicles, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. And free Yakult in the morning.
You wonât be bored after Shirakawago goes dark at night.
Amazing hotel. Relatively new so everything was fresh and clean. Quiet location. Traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious. Hot spring baths were wonderful. Comfortable beds and spacious room. Part of Dormy Inn group as they had complimentary Yakult and coffee which was a bonus.
The best accommodations Iâve had in Japan. Comfortable, luxurious bedrooms, excellent meals every day, and fantastic service. Beautiful location too.
