The hotel is located right outside the archaeological park of Angkor Wat and all of its splendors, which was our reason for choosing it. The hotel does have free bicycles to use in exploring, but we were warned not to attempt it as the rainy season makes it difficult (and, in fact, the temples are spread out over a much larger area than we anticipated). Instead, the tuktuk driver who picked us up from the airport became our daily guide, and we appreciated his kind patience and good humor. Overall, the hotel staff are very eager to please, and on the whole they succeed. Remember that this is not a luxury hotel, and you'll be fine: we had a gecko hiding on the wall that made alarming chirping noises at intervals throughout the night, for instance. The breakfast is modest but satisfying and again quite thoughtful in its presentation. The room was sparse but comfortable enough. You'll want to bring your own shampoo.
