Holidays in Sinsail-tong

One thing all of us can agree on is that travel is life. So pack that suitcase, kiss your dog goodbye and get yourself to Sinsail-tong! A neighbourhood in Seoul, it's a seriously good base for discovering this impressive city's sights. The capital of South Korea is home to 10,300,000 people. Don't be shy to get out and introduce yourself to a few of them! To reach Sinsail-tong from Gimpo International Airport, jump into a taxi, throw your bags in the boot and head 10 kilometres to the northeast. If you're arriving from the centre, you'll need to journey 7 kilometres northwest.

A good portion of this city's leading sights are located near Sinsail-tong, and Dongdaemun Market and Gyeongbok Palace are two of the most outstanding. The have-to-see sights of the Sungnyemun Gate and Deoksugung Palace are also at your fingertips. While you're here, consider going to other neighbourhoods to see more of what Seoul has to offer. Susaek-dong and Pukkajwail-tong are some great areas that are within close reach.

No stay in Seoul is complete without seeing the COEX Convention and Exhibition Center. As far as wondrous attractions go, it's one of the best. You'll find it just 9 kilometres from the downtown area.

Need some advice on things to do in the centre of the city? Start by feasting your eyes on the Korea University and N Seoul Tower. To get an even better feel for your surrounds, also drop into the Jogyesa Temple and Namsan Park.

Need to let your hair down and relax? Exciting stops include Supsok Hanbang Land and sanmotoonge.

Some interesting cultural sites are waiting. Start at the Sejong Cultural Center, the Gallery Hyundai, the Kukje Gallery and the Cheongwadae Sarangchae.

If you have a love of art, arrange a trip to the Seoul Museum of Art, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, the Artsonje Center and the Total Art Museum. Walk around and if one of the works gets you thinking, ask the staff for information about its creator.

From interactive displays to mind‐boggling objects and artefacts, museums have something to keep everyone interested. If you find yourself stuck with a rainy day, why not head on over to the Modern Design Museum, the Ewha Womans University Museum, the Agriculture Museum and the Daelim Museum?

What better way to finish a day's activities than with a meal and a performance? Check the programme guides at the Chongdong Theater, the Hongdae Music Show Theatre, the Gangbuk Jeongdong Nanta Theatre and the Sanwoolim Theater.

There's nothing quite like holidaying with lively kids to keep you feeling youthful. Take them on an adventure to the Children's Folk Museum and the Jeongdok Library.

Young ones can get sick of being dragged around various tourist sites. Fire them up with a few hours at one of the local areas action-packed family attractions. Seodaemun Independence Park and Taehwa Bowling Center are all worth checking out.

On a sunny day, take a big breath of fresh air and enjoy an afternoon among nature at Mt. Inwang and Baeksasil Valley.

Whether you're hoping to go for a relaxing wander or have a laugh with some friends, the nearby green spaces are wonderful places to be. Choose from either Sajik Park, Seonyudo Park, Samcheong Park and Seosomun Park.

A marvellous way to relive your holiday is by taking home a memento or two. See what you can get at Hope Market, Dongwha Duty Free Shop and Mecenatpolis Mall.

Enjoy an educational history lesson at The Blue House, the Gwanghwamun, the Seoul Museum of History and the National Folk Museum. Reading about them in a book just doesn't compare!

Find out about the region's spiritual dimensions or just take a moment in the peaceful surrounds of Jeoldusan Martyrs Shrine, the Inwangsa Temple, the Jingwansa Temple and the Bongwonsa Temple.

It's time to improve your Mexican wave and prepare your vocal chords. Come along and cheer for either of the home teams, the Korean Republic National Team and Seoul FC, at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

"I stayed in a Line Friends Cony suite and it was styled very well! The room was very cute and welcoming. Having Brown and Cony accents in the room made the stay very fun. The washrooms were also neatly styled with the wooden floors."
