One aspect to mention please, as phoned up beforehand to ask whether we could pre book a taxi to take us to a family celebration. Told that this was not necessary as there was a taxi link at reception and we would get one almost immediately but when we arrived, there was an 1.5 hour wait for a taxi!
The reception team allowed us to book an Uber from there so thank you to them but please warn clients if it is going to be a busy period.
On the positive side, a clean comfortable hotel with wonderful staff.
On the negative side, it was a bank holiday weekend and there were a lot of families with young children staying there pre-cruise, so the bar was not ideal for a nice quiet drink before bed.
I came to this hotel after 3 days of beinv sick with cold and fever. I was checked in as soon as room ready. I the middle of the night I awoke and realized i was on my 5t day of zero food. I found the night person and asked for some bread. She found the bread for me and checked in on me later when i came down for my airport uber. It's the little things.
We went for a meal at 7 pm and a lot of the things on the menu were not available so I had to order something I didn’t really want.
I could have understood this at 9.30 or so but not 7pm.
The hotel is ordinary. It's a bit dated and a bit soulless but if you are just sleeping there it's perfectly fine. The staff I interacted with were efficient and friendly. The is a #5 a day charge for the car park which is administered by a third party firm so make sure you factor this into your stay and register your vehicle when you check-in. I used the digital key option and went to straight to my room without visiting reception, which was convenient but I am expecting to receive a parking ticket at some point.
Good reception staff, very comfortable bed with a variety of soft and firm pillows. Room had a small table and easy chair as well as a desk and chair. Air conditioner was not easy to control or change - no instructions in room. Ensuite was good.
