I was able to check in early in the morning coming in on a red eye from the US for a cruise. I’m grateful that since a room was available, there was no hesitation to check us in upon arrival. We were going to store our luggage and explore, but were tired and took advantage of the hospitality.

Great location and decoration. Received a pleasant welcome from check in staff. Just about enough parking at the rear, which was convenient. The only slightly weird thing is that, having parked up,I then tried to check in at the Premier Inn next door (lack of signage). Otherwise, all good and I’ll definitely come again.

great little stay in Southampton
fab trip, we booked Thai cookery class at local restaurant and needed a base as we came from London, checkin in at the bar was easy and the room was great, no wardrobe but I knew that, a few hangers on hooks on the wall, had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and handsoap. compact bathroom but did the job, double bed, various lamps, tea coffee making very clean and very comfortable and good value, hotel room also quiet, couldnt hear other rooms. Bar staff friendly !

We found the room very small, the mattress was very saggy in the middle. Reception staff were very friendly. Cleaning staff didn't always leave milk tea or coffee. Only 4 hangers Hotel in a great place for the town and parking. We stayed 4 nights, but think its okay for one night only.

Too hot and a parking ticket!
We left our car in car park for 13 mins while we checked in. Explained to reception that no marked spaces were available and they suggested we move to nearby car park. They didnt advise that we would need to input our reg on their system anyway to avoid a parking ticket!! Disputed ticket but still had to pay. For sustainability reasons they have heating on during autumn but switch off the aircon. The window only opens a fraction and I hardly slept as was far too hot

I love this place to stay, very quirky, you get a free cocktail each with your stay which is a nice touch. They accommodated early check in, the beds were comfy. Two little gripes which stopped me giving excellent, it didn’t impact the trip in any way but the bottom sheet on the bed wasn’t fitted and no matter how many times we kept tucking it under the bed, every time we moved it would come back out and the air con was great but on the noisy side.
