The check in clerk was so rude. I explained I was handicapped, did they have any of those rooms available. She said I hadn’t specified that, so no. I said it didn’t give me a place to choose that. Told her I had called and they said I could get breakfast when I reserved. It did not let me. Did she know about it? Again rude. No, I fly out of here when my shift is done. Couldn’t tell me anything about restraints. The bed was uncomfortable firm. Also, woke up to the smell of pot being smoked In an adjoining room. It was BAD and happened at least three times! When we got to the room it was freezing. Even though reserved, heater wasn’t on and it was only 60 degrees. Horrible stay!

This is an amazing place to stay! Multiple dining options within the casino was a plus. Once you get checked in you won’t have to leave again until you’re ready to check out and head back home.

Filthy ice machines on guest floors. Staff was un accommodating and not helpful. Very limited dining, no breakfast room service. TV in room didn’t work and Steve would do nothing to help. The casino, however, was great. Casino floor staff and floor managers were also very friendly and knowledgeable. I’m only posting negative review about the hotel side.

Nice Rooms but Lacking Amenities and Communicatio

Our stay at River City Casino Hotel was decent, but a few issues kept it from being a perfect experience. The room itself was lovely—spotlessly clean, well-appointed, and featured a gorgeous luxury shower and a super comfortable bed with high-quality bedding. However, there were some drawbacks that left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. First, the unexpected deposit required at check-in was a surprise and not clearly communicated beforehand. Additionally, the television didn’t work for our entire stay. When we contacted the front desk, they informed us that the satellite or cable provider was down and couldn’t give an estimate of when it would be restored. After some trial and error, I discovered I could connect my phone to stream content, but it would have been nice if the front desk had offered this as a suggestion—most guests might not realize it’s an option. While the room itself was comfortable, it lacked basic amenities one might expect from an upscale casino hotel. There was no bottled water, snacks, or beverages provided. Even the toiletries were full-sized with little price tags on them, which seemed more like a convenience-store setup than a luxury hotel touch. For the price point and setting, a few complimentary items like travel-sized lotions or waters would go a long way. On the plus side, the front desk staff was reasonably polite and efficient. They assured us that the deposit would be returned within 24 to 72
